Ichigo Momomiya stood in front of the airport, tears streaming down her face.

Rain beat down on her, but she welcomed the stinging feeling. Depression was consuming her mind and she felt as though she could die, right then and there. Her trembling hands reached up to touch her lips, where, only hours before, Masaya had kissed her. A sweet kiss. But, it was also a sad kiss. The kind of kiss someone gives you right before they leave you forever.

Masaya, her dear Masaya, was going to study abroad in England. He was going to leave her in Japan, just so he could study. It wasn't fair! Why couldn't he stay in Tokyo and study!

The Mew Mew let out a heart-wrenching sob and rubbed her eyes, trying to make the tears stop. But it was no use. They wouldn't. She knew that no matter how hard she tried; she wouldn't be able to shake the feeling that Masaya had abandoned her.

The girls knew how she felt, they were her best friends. Mint, Lettuce, Pudding, Zakuro... They had tried to convince her that Masaya wouldn't forget about her. That he'd be back in Tokyo in a flash, his studying done.

But she just couldn't believe them.

As she sobbed again, her hair plastered to her face and neck, she felt hands brushing the loose strands out of her eyes and then the un-thinkable happened.

The hands wandered to her neck and brushed the little necklace she was wearing which caused the bell on it to ring. The owner of the hands bent down and whispered into Ichigo's ear, "Why are you crying, my little kitten?"

Ichigo jerked her head up and gasped.

Masaya.

Her beautiful, wonderful Masaya.

He was standing in the rain, looking deep into her eyes, smiling at her with his warm, kind smile.

And he wasn't on a plane headed for England. That was the best part.

"Masaya...! Why... why are you here...?" Her pink eyes once again glistened with tears; she was overjoyed to see him.

He smiled again, "I couldn't leave my kitten all alone. I plan to take you away to England with me!"

The Mew Mew gasped again and clutched his shirt, not believing her ears. "Really? But... what about you plane? I thought it left an hour ago..."

"It did. I skipped it and went around looking for you. The Mew Mews told me you were at the airport and I ran all the way here." He hugged her, kissed her on the top of her head.

She sighed, loving the attention and his warm body against hers. "Then... when do we leave...?"

"Tomorrow morning. I already got your clothes and stuff from the girls." Masaya grinned, his eyes sparkling with delight.

"Bu-" Ichigo started to say something, but was cut off when Masaya pressed his lips against hers. After a few seconds of shock, she kissed him back, enjoying the fact that she was back in his arms.

He smiled into the kiss, and then broke off. He grabbed her around the waist and picked her up bridal-style, causing her to blush furiously. "Well, my kitten, we best be finding somewhere warm to sleep." With that, he passionately kissed her again before heading over to his parked car.
