Plot:
In Zwolle mysterious things happen sometimes. Like the story about the little girl who traveled 300km on foot from Antwerp to get in the woods here. Or the one about the drowned students in the middle of the city in broad daylight. Or the city itself which seem to protest against people who drop garbage on the ground. All in all, Zwolle is a mysterious city. Not bad (in the most cases), but just mysterious. The main person is Chiel Dubie, a 15 year old boy from the southwest side of the city who meets Sam Gore, a 16 year old girl from the northeast side of the city. They can hear voices no one else can hear but them. After school they always hang out together and listen to what the weird voice (the city) tells them. They were chosen to help the city from the weird attacks so the inhabitants stay protected. Annemarie Joanna Grogin is a friend of Chiel who helps him although she can't hear the voices.
Story:
Hello dear readers,
This is the story of two people who didn't know each other until that fateful math class one day.
The first math class of the school year
First, I should introduce the two main characters. We have Chiel Dubie, a 15 year old boy who just came into this class and sits in the centre seat completely in the back. Our second character is Sam Gore. Sam is a 16 year old quiet girl to most but her closest friends. Sam sits near the window about halfway in the classroom. When the teacher starts talking Chiel isn't listening so much. Chiel has his mind by other things, like the summer holiday which was wayyyy too short according to him. And, let's be honest, we all think the same. Sam on the opposite side of the spectrum is paying the teacher all the attention that's needed to pass the class (Chiel does the same, but he already did this stuff on a higher difficulty level). Until everyone's attention was gathered by the magic word. Barcelona. Everyone wants to hear everything about it, because they will be leaving a few weeks after school starts for a midweek to this city with the entire class and two other classes. Chiel was exited for this because he loves travelling, but almost never does it. Sam just wanted to be away from school, and have for an entire week no stress about graduating or anything.
After a while (In which the room assignments were completed) Sam and Chiel heard an old voice say "Come help my inhabitant chosen one, come to the heart to help him." Now, Chiel and Sam both heard this voice since they were a baby, but they thought that they were the only one who could hear the voice. But, when they both asked to go to the bathroom at the same time it began to raise some suspicion, but that could be a coincidence. What wasn't such a coincidence was that they both ran for their bikes and headed for the city centre at the same time again. "So, " Sam asked Chiel "By any chance heading for the city centre? Because I have a feeling you heard the same voice I just did."
