The Hunt for Human:

Victoria's Story

Preface

I ran as quickly as I could through the trees, Laurent by my side. James, my love, had disappeared to go finish off a human whose blood smelled of nothing we had ever smelled before. And he wanted it. "I must track her down." He had told me before he left. "I'm hooked and can't let go!" And that was the last time I saw him. Laurent still had that dumbfounded look on his face as he stared into the embers. "That Cullen boy killed MY JAMES!!" I screamed to him as he finally looked up at me.

"If my guess is true," Laurent began, "then the boy was only protecting his mate. James did try to kill her." He shuddered at the thought. "I don't care if he was trying to protect the whole world!" I argued back. "He slaughtered my love!" A sudden sense of a need for revenge slipped into my brain. "And for that he will pay. Pay with the one thing he loves most." Shock flowed through Laurent's face as he realized my brilliant plan…..
