A/N: I give you a completely fluffy (Short! Really short!)drabble that I came up with sitting in French class (don't ask me why, because I have absolutely no idea why). Enjoy! :)
Disclaimer: I do not own NCIS or its characters. I think that that is more than obvious.
He was tired, and all he really wanted to do was to go to sleep.
The case they'd closed recently had taken a toll on him and his team; he'd been running them into the ground and they were all exhausted.
He arrived home, throwing his keys in the dish by the door and shrugging off his coat, hanging it on the rack. He stopped briefly in the kitchen, grabbing a glass of water and drinking it quickly, hoping to calm his growling stomach until after he had gotten some sleep.
He climbed his stairs which felt time times longer than usual and trudged down his hallway, finally reaching his bedroom after what felt like an eternity.
He stripped out of his jeans and his polo, tugging the white shirt that was underneath over his head and leaving him in only his boxers before crawling into bed.
The woman that was already there turned slightly, feeling his presence, and blinked her sleepy green eyes open. She smiled when she saw him, curling into his side and tucking her head under his chin as she fought to stay awake for a few more moments, wanting as much time with him as possible.
She could feel the tension in his body, and she kissed his chest before looking up at him with questions in her eyes, concerned.
She could see that he was already half-asleep when she looked at his face, and as her eyes softened she smiled, curling into him once again, already letting sleep start to reclaim her.
"Long day?" Jenny asked quietly, feeling her husband sigh as he tugged her closer.
"You have no idea." Jethro murmured, feeling his wife's body move with silent laughter as he felt sleep start to take over his brain. His wife's voice was the last thing her heard, and he clung to it, attempting to fight sleep for just a few more moments.
"You're home now. Get some sleep. I love you." she whispered, feeling his body start to relax as his breathing evened out and exhaustion won the battle.
His long day was finally over.
