Chapter 1: Intro
Huh! Where am I? Oh, the V.R. room.
"Hey, David there you are. I've been looking everywhere for you. The client is pissed as hell." Huh? Oh, Ruiner. What's he still doing here? "…What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost. Is there something wrong with mah new ass?"
"Uh… yeah, it's new. Still not use to the new get-up."
Here let me start from the beginning.
It was a few months ago. Well, to me anyways. Oh, where are my manners? Let me introduce myself. I'm David a HUmar, or you could call me a male human hunter. A few years before the Pioneer 1 took off I decided to let my hair grow out so that now it's a bit longer then what most people are use to seeing on a male. It falls near the small of my back and it's a dirty blonde color. The uniform I'm seen in most of the time is colored red. I like the color.
My friend and teammate is called Ruiner. We met before the Pioneer project started; at least we think we did. Few people knew our world was dying… But back to Ruiner, he's a RAcast, or you could say he is a male (if you can define a robot's gender…) android ranger. The difference between him and me is that he is more skilled with gun type weapons than me, while I'm more skilled in blade type weapons than him. He now stands at six feet three inches, a whole six inches taller then me. He is mostly colored black. His head levels off flat like a hammerhead shark. He has broad shoulders with large arms and legs. His back and chest puff out some.
Androids didn't get much use till construction started for Pioneer 1. Less loss in human life, so they say. I met him when he was laid off. We decided to become Hunters (which defines the whole group of Hunters, Rangers, and Forces). With his background in construction, so he tried for a Ranger. I, on the other hand, had to take a test to see where I belonged. I had no aim, so being a Ranger was voted out, but since I didn't know how smart you had to be in order to be a Force, I tried for both Force and Hunter. It turned out I was way to stupid to be a Force. In about six months we graduated, but Pioneer 1 had taken off. Seeing as that choice was slaughtered, we went straight to the Guild where we found out Pioneer 2 was being constructed to follow Pioneer 1.
We soon learned that our home world was being destroyed, so every one who wasn't already singed up for one of the sleeper ships was going on Pioneer 2. They stated to make things easier on the people. They were going to put a whole city in the ship. In the time it took for us to make a name for ourselves in the Hunter's Guild, the ship was ready for take off.
The two years of travel was tough on every one except the Hunters who had the privilege of using the V.R. room. Which is where you found me in the middle of a quest killing time until I meet with an informant.
"Well it's all thanks to your help. You letting me have all the meseta collect."
"Yeah, you just tell the client to hold his horses. My informant is almost ready to talk."
"There's another thing. The principal asked me to go on an "unmanned" flight to Ragol, seeing as Pioneer 1 was wiped out and all."
That explains it. He must of sent me through time.
"No problem I'll make sure you get your share ."
