He has a face for everything, like it's never exactly the same.
When he's talking to Mercedes about fashion or music or whatever it is they talk about it's like he's glowing, and not because he's like super pale and the school lights wash him out or whatever it was he said when asked how he did it, but because he's that happy.
He blushes whenever Tina or Brittney bring up his 'trucker' phase and he sputters and acts like they're making it all up, but his eyes sparkle, like he's got some sort of secret.
When he's talking to Quinn quietly after Glee he sometimes gets this wicked glint to his eyes, other times he laughs quietly and smiles sadly like there's a joke and it's on him.
Santana and he give each other some serious side-eye, but it never fails that they're the first ones to tell Rachel to shut up.
Rachel and Kurt. That's one relationship I don't get, sometimes it's like they're on the same wave length almost like they share a brain and then others, it's like they don't speak the same language which leads to some pretty epic cat fights. He's got a stellar 'Bitch Please' face, which he only really ever brings into play when Rachel's involved.
He more or less stays away from the other guys in Glee, although he and Artie got caught geeking out over Firefly the other day, and he and Mike have some pretty epic dance moments, although Kurt's idea of dancing and Mike's idea of dancing are really, really different. He and Puck have a kind of older brother/younger brother thing, they fight, they snark, but the second anyone else takes a crack at him Puck all up in there faces about it. Which is weird, since Finn's going to be his step-brother ,and there's some story there or something 'cause everyone get really tense when Kurt and Finn talk about anything that isn't Glee related. But there's awkwardness on Kurt's side of things too, like when he smiles at Finn, there's this question to it, like he's not sure he's allowed to, which with the way Finn acts about gay guys sometimes is kind of understandable. But yeah, there's got to be some story or something that explains it
Blaine, what he's like with Blaine is hard to explain. It's a cross between being happy and being unsure, scared and hopeful all at once, like he wants so bad to be with Blaine but at the same time wants to be as far away from Blaine as he can get.
When he said he was leaving, that hurt, since for a moment it felt like he'd picked Blaine over everything else. But then he'd said it was because he didn't feel safe, that he wasn't safe here at McKinley. And it is true; Kurt can't be Kurt here, because no one else understands what he needs.
It took him leaving to realize how much he was a part of this, this thing that is Glee. It's not the same him not being here. There isn't anyone to fight with Rachel, no one to give everyone that look like they've missed some memo that said jeans and a t-shirt were against the dress-code of the day, no one to tell Mr. Shue the things everyone else is thinking but don't dare to say. It's like part of the family is just gone, and it hurts.
He doesn't have a look for me, I'm just Sam, Sam I am, and that's how it's always going to be, and that just really sucks.
