"So your the werewolf," a voice said from the kitchen doorway, causing Remus LUpin to choke on his warm coffee and start coughing.

"Ooo I didn't mean to do that! Sorry, sorry! Are you okay?" The voice got louder as it reached Remus's bent head and patted him on the back. As his choking fit ended he realized the hand on his back was small and the voice sounded feminine to his ears.

Glancing up from his seat at the kitchen table, Remus Lupin beheld the woman who had accidentally made him choke.

She was shocking...to say the least.

She wore simple skinny jeans, bright-pink flats on her feet. Her top was short sleeved, a simple black shirt with a bow around the middle and a slight v-neck...

Her hair had been what shocked him...

It matched her shoe color...

Bright-pink, tied back in a pony-tail with bangs covering her forehead and some loose hairs hanging against her cheek.

She smiled and her whole face seemed to light-up as she continued to stare at him.

"I really am sorry...I didn't mean to startle you.." she continued and then blushed bright red.

"Well...that's what happens when you point out a man's secret," Remus said as he gestured to the still blushing woman to sit besides him.

"So you must be the new member..." he continued about to say her name when she cut across him.

" Tonks." She said and then blushed at her bluntness.

"Eerr...Hi..." she said lamely, shuffling one of her pink-clad feet back and froth as she clutched her hands together in front of her, betraying her nervousness.

Eventually, unclenching her hands together, she sat besides him.

Noticing her nervousness, Remus said bluntly," You know if you'd feel more comfortable away from the werewolf," He started refering to himself in third-person. "You can sit over there." He said pointing over to a seat, yards away from him. "Don't worry. The werewolf, won't take offence." He said, sending her a small grin, which she frowned at.

Remus guessed she must really not like werewolfs, or was even more uncomfortable.

"Don't." Her voice interrupted his musings and he turned towards her in surprise.

"Don't." She said again and then continued...

"Don't say that."

She looked up at him, her eyes filled with confusion and anger.

"Don't say those kinds of things. Just because you think people will react a certain way doesn't mean they will." She said and then abruptly got-up and left the room, her pink-clad-feet, stomping as they they.

Her stomps echoing around the house and to the next floor of the house, leaving Remus to his musings.

"Maybe, Remus there are more people out there that will accept you, no matter what you turn into once a month..." He mused to himself as he picked up a newspaper, nearest him and began to read, resolving to apologize to the pink-shoe-wearing-woman later on.

"Tonks..." He mused to himself as he turned a page of the newspaper.

"Just Maybe." He whispered aloud..."Just Maybe..."
