Hermione looked over to her friend and wondered what had him so worried.
"Whatever it is you can tell me, Harry," she said trying to reassure him.
He shifted slightly before mumbling something she couldn't understand.
"I'm sorry, Harry, I didn't hear you. You will have to speak a little louder."
"I'm gay, Hermione," he said still quietly but loud enough to hear.
"How long have you known?" she asked.
Harry looked up to her startled.
"You're not going to tell me we can't be friends anymore?" he asked sounding relieved.
"No, why would I do that? After everything we have been through together you think I would leave your side over this? You're mad if you think I'm not going to be friends with you because you prefer men to women. You, Harry Potter, are my friend, and friends stick together," Hermione replied passionately.
"I'm sorry. Logically I knew you wouldn't stop being friends with me because of it, but there was a little doubt that kept creeping in," he confessed.
"Oh, Harry. I will never leave your side. You would have to Avada me to do that," Hermione joked as she stepped forward and pulled him into hug.
Hermione knew that not everyone would be as understanding about Harry's sexuality and he would most likely face adversity from all sides, but the one thing she did know was that she would face all of them with him.
