A/N: Just a little repository for missing/alternate scenes from my story Long way 'round. If you haven't read that then these won't make an awful lot of sense.
They won't be in any particular order so I'll make sure to put a note at the top. Most of these will be drabbles or very short one-shots.
I still don't own Pitch Perfect *sigh*
Snapshots of the long way 'round
Alternate Epilogue
I take a deep breath and raise my fist, letting it hammer on the door I haven't seen for almost a year. From within I hear a muffled thump followed by a tired, pain-filled groan. I'm pretty sure someone just fell of the couch.
An easy grin touches my lips as I repeat my knock on the door, four loud, heavy thumps.
"Go away! It's too early!" A tired, but familiar voice yells.
That's a fair point; it's not quite seven in the morning on a Saturday. Still, this is important. So I tap out another rhythm on the door.
"ALRIGHT! I am coming to open the door and if this isn't of dire importance you will not like the consequences!"
"I took my time and went the long way 'round."
There's dead silence on the other side of the door. I swear you could hear a mouse sneeze.
"And I saw the prettiest of views."
There's sound now. Another thump, not as loud or painful sounding as the first. I think it was someone vaulting over the couch.
"It had mountains, it had rivers."
Rapid footsteps sprinting up the hallway.
"All these sights that gave me shivers."
There's a momentary scrabbling at the lock before the door is thrown open to reveal Chloe with the worst case of bed hair I've ever seen and a wide, hopeful smile splitting her face in half.
"But it's time for me to come back home to you."
A/N2: So this is my original epilogue which (obviously) continued with Beca's PoV, but I decided I liked the other version better. It's exactly the same scene, just told from the other side of the door.
