new empire, revised!
Only a few hours ago, the jedi order, in a horrific turn of events, turned on the republic.
the death toll was in the millions.
thankfully several loyal jedi knights including Anakin Skywalker and ex jedi ahsoka tano, aided the clones in the fight.
but it was too late, the damage had been done, now, the republic is in chaos.
"this is an outrage!"
"what do we do!"
"why would the jedi do this!"
the galactic senate was in a uproar, thousands of shouts filling the chamber.
chanceller palpatine looked on in silence.
finally after nearly an hour of shouting and screaming, the chanceller had had enough.
"BE SILENT!" he roared.
the senate fell down to a dead silence, it was rare for palpatine to lose his temper, but when he did, he was a terrifying sight.
"you are the senate! not a group of squabbling younglings! You have a duty to uphold, protecting your people and sorting out galactic wide problems, but today i see nothing but foolish young children fighting over who has the biggest weapon."
palpatine took a deep breath, in a much calmer tone of voice he said "now then, i am aware of how scared people are at this time, and i would like to assure you that everyhting is fine, but that is not the case, the jedi have betrayed us, millions of innocent beings have been killed and our clone armies are still trying to fight the sepratists. To be frank with you my freinds, and enemies. We are in deep trouble."
angry and scared muttering filled the chamber.
The nabooian pod, detached from the wall and flew foward.
Ja-ja binks stood up.
"meesa believe that the only waysa the republic to survive is to not be a republic, but a empire."
the senate was silent once agian.
Ja-ja continued, "meesa and chanceller palpatine have been planning this for nearly twosa years we believe that the only way for the republic to survive isa to become an empire" ja-ja sat back down.
the zygerrion pod moved foward, the zygerrion ambassador looked around the senate chamber, he cleared his throat, "on behalf of the zygerrion monarchy, i second the vote."
palpatine sat back down as more and more senators voted yes.
Finally after thirty minutes of voting, he stood up.
"the votes are finished, 5043 votes for a empire, and 1000 agianst." palpatine paused for a moment.
"As of this moment, the republic is now an empire."
Cheers and claps were heard all over the senate
palpatine called for silence, "thank you for your support my freinds, but we have one more problem," he looked around, "who will be the emperor?"
