One:

Jesse St. James was drunk. Very drunk. Anyone with a remotely working pair of eyes and/or ears could see that. Vocal Adrenaline's seniors had been gifted with an all-expenses paid trip to Cabo for their spring break, all with the approval of their coach, Shelby Corcoran. Of course, the younger members decided they wanted to go too, and some managed to find ways to do so. Shelby had no qualms about any of that, either; she thought of it as an exercise in striving towards a goal.

As it was when VA was out, they attracted a good number of people to their little party. Jesse especially. If you were into show choir, after all, it was impossible not to know who Vocal Adrenaline was, let alone the Jesse St. James.

Despite being with Rachel Berry in what was turning into a rather complicated situation, he loved the attention. In fact, he loved it so much he was even flirting with the bartender-who was very flustered-and then some. Then there was the busty blonde who kept making goo-goo eyes at him.

So when his co-captain Cassidy Granville gave him his phone accompanied by "Why don't you call your girlfriend? She might be worried!" his first reaction was to make a face. It wasn't that he didn't care about Rachel or want her to worry. It was more that he hadn't actually thought much about Rachel since they'd landed the night before. He certainly hadn't considered her worrying.

Back in the Tate home in Ohio, Atari Chung was watching VA on seperate screens. Previous experience and a near-incident had taught her early on that constant vigilance was necessary. Heck, it was why she was the only non-performing member of Vocal Adrenaline. Shelby knew some of what Atari was capable of. She knew they needed her. It hadn't been difficult to get her on board at all.

Popping a can of Mountain Dew, Atari sighed irritably as her current Ragnarok opponent did just what she thought he would. "So much for a challenge," she muttered. "Noob." She tapped a few keys and ended him, briefly wondering if she should switch servers.

Just as she was contemplating ordering pizza, a dull beep began and she switched screens. Jesse was making a phonecall on his cellphone. One glance at another screen told her that he was drunk. Atari hit a button. He was calling Rachel Berry.

That could only end in disaster...but not if she could help it.

Atari quickly intercepted the call, then remotely turned Jesse's phone off. For good measure, she temporarily jammed the signal of the phones of every VA member that was on the vacation. She knew the Belles would figure out it was her instantly, but she also knew Shelby would back her up.

notaconsole: Shelby?

thevacoach: Yes, Atari?

notaconsole: Sorry to message you so late.

thevacoach: I'm working on a rehearsal setlist. Is something wrong?

notaconsole: Jesse's drunk. He just tried calling Rachel. I turned his phone off. I turned all their phones off, to be safe.

thevacoach: Even Cassidy?

notaconsole: Yes.

thevacoach: Just remember to turn them back on at noon, or when the Belles figure it out.

notaconsole: Will do.

thevacoach: Make sure Jesse makes no calls to Rachel during this entire vacation.

notaconsole: Got it.

After the third try, Jesse shoved his phone in his pocket. He briefly considered using the hotel phone to call Rachel-until Cassidy turned up beside him again. "You talk to her yet?"

He shook his head.

"Can't say you didn't try. C'mon, they're bringing out a keg. Have you ever done a keg stand?" she grinned, taking him by the hand.

Back in Ohio, Atari watched this exchange and smiled.
