No One's POV
Joy Mercer may be popular, but does anyone ever look beyond the surface? Did they ever care to look further to see that she was miserable, her cheerfulness and enthusiasm was all fake. But then again, who wants to look into Joy's miserable life. Having to be taken away for a year, only to find out that you didn't have to be hidden, the love of your life in love with another girl, your best friends focusing on the new girl. Although, know Nina Martin isn't so new. She's better liked than Joy.
But at school, everyone loves Joy. They don't live in the same house with her to know how her life really is. Her life that's just making her depressed, but nobody would care to look further into it.
Well, all except one person would want to help her. He loves her, but she loves someone else, so why bother?
He does. He's already lost one girl he loves to another guy; he doesn't want to lose the girl he really loves to depression. That's why he stops her. He walked into the kitchen at night to get a midnight snack, only to see her with a handful of pills, about to put them in her mouth.
"What are you doing?" He asked, not angry, but scared.
"I just want out! I hate my life! I hate seeing the guy I love with another girl, I can't take it anymore!" Joy shouted, not caring who she wakes up.
"Joy, please don't do this. Please." He pleaded.
"Why? Why do you care? Nobody cares about me Mick! Nobody!" Joy shouted, not letting go of the pills.
"I care Joy, I've always cared. I love you Joy. But you love Fabian, so I didn't say anything. But I should've. I should've spoken up." Mick said, taking a step closer to her, as she dropped the pills on the ground, and running into Mick's arms sobbing.
"I'm sorry." Joy sobbed.
"Why are you apologizing? I should be apologizing for not saying anything to you." Mick said, stroking her hair as she cried.
"I guess that I-I was just so caught up in thinking t-that I loved F-Fabian. But I-I don't. I love you Mick. I'm just sorry that it took me so long to realize it." She said as her crying slowed down.
"It's okay, you realized it now." He said, getting her to let out a giggle.
"I love you." Joy said, looking him in the eye.
"I love you too Joy." Mick told her, and giving her a kiss.
Somebody did care after all, and it was almost too late for her to realize that, not only did he care, he loves her.
Aww! Moy! I haven't written any Moy have I? Well, now I have!
