In the old library window, sat a small stitchpunk, gazing out to the stars. After the fabrication machine had been destroyed, and the rain had come, the sky had seemed to be a lot brighter. It was now clear that the stars would come out of their hiding places, once the sun has left for slumber. She gazed up into the heavens at the bright flickers of light, with a look of awe written across her face.

Stood a little way behind her, was her other half. Blinking his one optic, he gradually got closer to her. Although he was also a stitchpunk, he was a lot different. While most stitchpunk's had a couple of optics, he only had one. Most would consider this a disability, but he believed that it allowed him to focus on one thing at a time. And he was focusing on the object of his affection right now.

She soon became aware of an approaching figure, as a faint 'tap' got closer and louder with each step. Carefully turning herself around, her objects fell on 5. Her face instantly lit up with a smile, as she patted the space beside her, indicating for him to sit down.

"Good evening, my beautiful gardening glove" he smiled, as he took the space next to her. He grasped her hand as the continued gazing at the stars.

4 kissed him on the cheek. "The sky is beautiful tonight" she flashed to him, still gazing at the heavens.

"That may be, but the sight is not nearly as beautiful as you" 5 smiled again, now staring fondly at 4.

Turning her head to look directly into his optic, she gasped lightly, before her facial features broke out into a smile. They continued to fondly stare at each other, until 5 broke the silence.

"4, I have been meaning to ask you this for a while now, and this seems the best time to do it…" he smiled bashfully, before reaching inside himself, and pulling out a small black box. He looked 4 in the optics, before continuing nervously. "4, you are the love of my life, you give me a reason to wake up in the morning, and to keep on living. I love you with all my soul and being. If anything were to happen to you, I don't know what I'd do. A world without you, is not a world worth living."

5 paused and looked to 4 for a confidence boost. He clasped her hand in his, he slowly pulled them both to their feet. With one final look into 4's optics, he smiled and knelt down on one knee, holding the black box in front of him.

He gently opened the box, to reveal a small, wire crafted ring. In the centre, sat a arrangement of tiny diamonds, that sparkled in the light of the moon. 3 let out a silent gasp of awe, as 5 took hold of her hand with his free one. She smiled down at him, encouraging him to carry on.

"Love is not just staring at each other, but it is looking in the same direction. So lets look in the same direction, my beautiful gardening glove. You are my sunshine, and you are my rain, without you I cannot function. 4, will you make me the happiest stitchpunk alive… will you marry me?"

4 beamed down at 5, before smashing their lips together in a passionate kiss. Actions spoke louder than words as 5 slipped the ring onto her finger, smiling ecstatically. They locked optics once more, smiling fondly, before 4 finally flashed her answer.

"My heart is forever at your service."
