a/n: I finally got to writing something about my biggest crackship of all: Quartie! (Quinn/Artie) haha. I dunno, I guess it has something to do with the fact that Dianna and Kevin are good friends in real life, and I just always thought that Quinn and Artie would look cute together. hahaha. But, I'll always be a hardcore Quick shipper, in case you're wondering, but yeah, this'll always be my crackship. :)

Chapter 1: Unexpected Ties

"You're the man, Artie!" Finn slapped Artie a high-five after they won the Regionals. They were backstage, celebrating. Artie sang his version of Luther Vandross' "Surperstar".

"You killed it!" Puck said, "Did you see Sebastian's face? I could've smacked him with a dodgeball—"

"No more dodgeballs, Puckerman," Kurt said, "Know what? Let's go partaaaaay!"

Rachel was laughing as she held on to Finn, "Yay!"

"Come on, guys," Finn said, "Let's find a bar!" They then started going out of the room. Soon, only Quinn and Artie were left. Quinn was wearing a Pink puffy tube dress and a butterfly clip on her hair. She looked every inch a Princess.

"You were really amazing," Quinn told him.

"Wow, Lucy," Artie said, "What a surprise...Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to call you Lucy, I just—"

"It's alright," Quinn said, "I guess you can't turn your back on who you really are." She smiled a bit.

Artie smiled back, "It's funny," He said, "You never spoke a word to me before...I mean, since Fairbrook..."

Artie and Quinn were classmates in grade school, back in Fairbrook. They were good friends, and Quinn even had a teensy weensy crush on Artie. And then Artie got in the accident that made Artie's legs stop working. Quinn always sent him candies to make him feel better...And then Quinn was bullied and was called the fat helper, the fat little good girl, Lucy Caboosey, and everything else she didn't wanna hear. Middle school happened, and they lost touch, and eventually, Quinn underwent Rhinoplasty, got into Fat camp, gymnastics and all these other programs, and became what everyone considered to be beautiful. She ditched her name, Lucy, and became Quinn, the queen of the high school, every man's dream, every girl's envy.

"Yeah, I know," Quinn said, "About that...I'm really sorry, I just—"

"Grew up," Artie said.

Quinn took a deep breath, "I was crazy," She said, "We all know that."

He laughed, "Yeah, well, you had a hard time..."

Quinn smiled, "So," She said, "Yeah, I just wanted to say congratulations and...And I'm proud of you."

"Oh, Lucy," He said, "I am proud of you. Look at you now, off to Yale soon, you got your act together, you're amazing."

She laughed, "Hug?" She smiled.

"Come here," Artie said, and Quinn leaned forward, bent down and hugged him. And then, for some reason, Artie reached forward too, and their lips met, and soon they were kissing. Quinn pulled back at first, but the kiss was...magical. Like it was meant to happen. Like once again, she was Lucy, who had that crush on Artie, who dreamed of this day all along.

"Quinn, Artie, aren't you gonna get out? Come on, we're not gonna wait for ya—" Santana Lopez's voice boomed as she went backstage. Santana's eyes bulged as she saw Quinn and Artie, "Oh my God! You're kissing! Is this—"

"Santana, hush!" Quinn said, pulling Santana close.

"But you're kissing him!' She said, "I can't...I mean, are you even friends? You never spoke a word to each other in Glee club, and now—"

"I think I got some explaining to do..." Artie said. Quinn closed her eyes. And Santana stood there, gaping, still surprised.
