A/N: After watching Sidekick Clio, I couldn't help but wanting to write a cute One-Shot about how Cedric finally gets his praise on his hard work with the play! So I hope you enjoy this. Lastly, I was planning to write chapter two on "Teaching the Mentor 3" but ideas somehow weren't working out in my head that I didn't what I should do. Please Read and Review, perhaps you guys could give me an idea that might work!

Sofia the First: Going Overboard!

"Well done Cedric, maybe you should help the children out with their plays more often." King Roland said as the royal family and Cedric were riding in the coach, heading home. The sorcerer smiled yet couldn't say anything. The dark-haired man was too welled-up with pride from the magic he performed from the show.

Sofia, who sat on Cedric's right side giggled at her friend's proud face. She was glad he finally was able to be recognized by not only her father but the children from school as well. "You know dad Cedric sort of overdid it while we were working on the prop list." James said grinning as he glanced at the sorcerer.

Cedric blushed in embarrassment and pointed at the smirking prince "If I recall you went along with it, wanting to add monkeys." Before anyone knew it the young prince began an amusing spat with Cedric.

James stammered trying to form his words making his twin giggle. "It's not my fault, I tried to stop you but that didn't work! You were getting a big head Cedric!" After making that statement James crossed his arms and waited for the man to defend himself. Cedric on the other hand was thinking of how he would explain that statement, he glanced at his apprentice for help. But she giggled a bit then said "He's got you there Mr. Cedric."

"Some help you are!" He said to her then crossed his arms. He couldn't believe his apprentice would turn on him, now what was he suppose to do?

"Actually James, you can't blame him for wanting to more after all, he's been mocked for years and now that he's getting that respect his actions are to be expected." Sofia said sincerely then glanced at her mentor and winked making him grin.

Once the coach landed in front of the castle the royals got out the coach having Cedric to be last to exit. Having everyone got their separate ways except for Sofia and Cedric. They were walking together because Sofia's room so happened to close to his Workshop. "I'm glad you had a fun time at the play but know what I'm really proud of Mr. Cedric?" she asked gaining a quizzical glace from her friend.

"What's that?" Sofia smiled and said "That you were able to get along with James while you guys worked together, in fact, you could say that you and James had some bonding time." Cedric shrugged it off as they were coming up to her room.

"I don't care how you would call it but if I ever help you children with another one of your plays I hope you will help me get out of trouble if I go overboard again." He said smiling at her.

"Sure thing Mr. Cedric, I'll see you tomorrow for my sorcery lesson." She said as she hugged him then entered her room leaving Cedric the only one in the hall to go to his Workshop.

A/N: I hope I did well with this little sequel! I do think Cedric was getting a big head during the episode but I wasn't really mad. It's like Sofia said it's suppose to be expected tom him after being mocked so much in the past. If you could call it that and if Disney makes another play episode where he has to help he may end having a big head again but then maybe he learned his lesson. We'll have to see and I do agree with Sofia that Cedric did indeed have some bonding time with James! Please Review!
