Sunny was bored, like really, really bored. Starflight, most likely studying. Glory, probably napping. Clay, doing who knows what. Tsunami, nah, best not to annoy her.
Sunny knew what the other dragonets thought of her. That she was their annoying, playful, naïve, and overly optimistic little sister. They also didn't trust her to keep secrets, it wasn't her fault she accidentally tipped off Dune about the rock pile the other dragonets were planning to build.
She sniffed, they also complained about how life was horrible in the cave. Yet, Tsunami had her river, Starflight had his darkness and scrolls, Clay had food?, and Glory was allowed to nap whenever she pleased, almost.
Sunny felt selfish for saying this, but she had nothing. She barely had any sunlight, only the smallest sky hole in all of Phyrria, and no sand. She was a SandWing.
The little SandWing curled up in the driest part of the cave. Tsunami and Clay usually slept near the river, Starflight slept on a small ledge and Glory slept wherever she pleased. Sunny sniffed, the reminded herself that dragons don't cry, and she stifled her sobs.
She he missed the sun and the sand, the cave was cold, dark and damp. She breathed a small flame to warm herself and little before closing her eyes.
"Sunny."
Her eyes shot open again. "Glory," she whispered to the night.
The RainWing became visible, it was clear that she had used her camouflage to hide. "I heard you sniffing from where I was sleeping. What's wrong?" It was very peculiar for the RainWing to be acting this way, usually she was sarcastic and snapped back at others. Now though, she was sympathetic.
"I - I, it's just so cold here, and damp."
To a SeaWing, the cave probably would've been too dry, Tsunami even opted to sleep in the river tonight.
"That's not all, is it?" Glory could see right past Sunny's mask she put on.
"No, all the other dragonets complain about how the cave is awful, and I always say it's not too bad, " Sunny brought her wings up to cover her face." But the cave is horrible! There's no sunlight and hardly any warmth. I just wanna go home, and now I feel so selfish, for saying this."
Glory extended her wing and covered Sunny with it. "Don't feel selfish for it, I don't think anyone really likes this cave. And honestly, you're right Tsunami has her river, Starflight has his scrolls and shadows, Clay has food, I guess, and I don't have to really do anything if I don't want to, but you have no sunlight and no sand."
Sunny then hoped up and hugged Glory, "Finally someone who understands." The SandWing said.
Glory stood there surprised, but then hugged her back. "That's what sisters are for."
AN: I'm sorry if Glory seemed a little out of character, it was originally supposed to be Tsunami who comforted her, but then I changed it because I couldn't figure out how to connect the SnadWing and SeaWing in a sisterly fashion that would fit the storyline.
