SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! Flesh beat against flesh, as the lunar mound of jiggling fatty tissue quickly changed hues, from a delicate untouched wan posterior, to a rosy warm pink bottom, and finally to two angry, unhappy, red hand print covered orbs.

"OW! NO! PLEASE LEONARD STOP! PLEASE! I'LL BE GOOD! I PROOOOMIIIISE!", sobbed a very contrite Sheldon, as he wriggled helplessly caught between Leonard's legs and his vice like grip. But then again, it didn't take much to hold Sheldon in place. He really was a delicate thing.

After proving his string theory the month before, Sheldon had become an insufferable condescending brat, more than usual anyway, and although Leonard usually relented to his whims, there was a definite line not to be crossed and Sheldon knew this. Nonetheless, he had unwisely crossed it, hence his over the knee predicament.

"This is not the first time you find yourself in this position Sheldon Lee Cooper, and I guarantee it won't be your last, unless you check that preposterous attitude you've been so disrespectfully shoveling on us for the past month, is that understood?", Leonard barked authoritavely, frankly unconcerned with Sheldon's whimpering or promises of future good behavior. He did not want to have to do this again too soon, he wanted this one to stick for a while. He knew that would take not only physical but psychological stimulation and manipulation.

Sheldon winced at the use of his full name. He'd really done it this time. He knew he'd crossed the line a month ago, but he had chosen to ignore that warning voice within himself. Just as that unfortunate frog in the boiling frog experiment had willingly allowed itself to be boiled alive, so had he willingly placed himself over Leonard's lap, at that very moment one month ago, to reap the oh so painful rewards of his unwise choice. He didn't know what was more painful, his backside being tanned or the fact that he was as smart as a frog, allowing himself to be put in this situation in the first place. Arrogance and pride be damned! He was not doing this again!

Ever since Mrs. Cooper had given him permission to correct Shelly's insolent behavior, he had become more reasonable and manageable. According to his mother, seeing as Leonard was his primary caretaker, it only seemed rational for Leonard to be able to reign him in when he got out of hand, especially since she couldn't be there all the time.

He remembered her exact words.

"Shelly's bottom is very delicate, which is a plus for you. It won't take much to see a change in his behavior, just be sure to spank him until he cries himself out, then you'll know he got the message. If you have any problems, just call me, and I'll be right over to straighten him out. And be sure to keep the hairbrush only for major offenses. Shelly hates the hairbrush."

Sure enough, his pert little bottom danced around Leonard's lap finally becoming a heated glowing red mass of flesh as he went limp over Leonard's knee, clutching onto the comforter and sobbing his humbled little heart out.

"I'm so sorry Leonard! *sob sob* I'm so so sorry! *cough* I promise I'll do better! *sob* Please no more! Please!", he pleaded as his breath hitched.

"Alright, that'll do Sheldon", Leonard gently uttered, rubbing Sheldon's back. This part always took some time. He understandably got so worked up, and only time and a gentle tone helped to calm him down.

"I'm really sorry Leonard", Sheldon demurely conceded, his voice still wavering with emotion.

"I know buddy, I know. It's alright now. You know it's your choice if you find yourself back here again. You can avoid it if you choose to", Leonard intonated, hoping he'd gotten through to Sheldon.

"Yes, I know, I'm sorry", Sheldon all but whispered. "Your not going to tell my mom are you Leonard", he timidly asked, the thought suddenly jumping to mind, as his eyes betrayed his fear. If his mom found out, that might mean the hairbrush, how he hated that invention. Combs were just as useful, he thought, and less painful he assumed.

"No, I didn't tell her and I don't plan to", Leonard said reassuringly, as Sheldon visibly relaxed, still sniffling and wiping his eyes.

"But if there's a next time anytime soon, you can bet I will, understood? That's a promise", Leonard conveyed with utmost conviction, demanding respect.

"Yes sir", Sheldon whispered, mentally submitting his will, causing fresh tears to course down his cheeks as he sniffled. Leonard knew he needed to psychologically cement his voluntary submission, so that he knew, he knew his place.

"Good, I'm glad we have an understanding. Now get on up and clean yourself up", Leonard instructed as he gently pulled his underwear back up for him and helped him lift himself off his lap, the cool air hitting his warmed thighs.

"Ok", Sheldon gently spoke, obediently pushing himself off of Leonard's lap.

"Do you want to have dinner in your room or outside with us Sheldon?", Leonard asked, knowing how he felt embarrassed after a disciplinary session and sometimes would rather be alone.

"Can you check to see who's here first please, if it's not too much trouble?", Sheldon demurely asked.

Expecting as much, Leonard shook his head as he inwardly chuckled. Amazing what a simple trip over his knee did for Sheldon. It was a night and day difference.

"It's not any trouble at all and thank you for so asking so kindly Shelley", Leonard smiled approvingly, praising Sheldon, knowing he needed the approval to build on. A shy smile crossed Sheldon's face., "Thank you", Sheldon shyly said, looking elsewhere.

He quickly walked out and saw only Penny. Thank goodness! Howard and Raj would have mercilessly hampered him, only causing him to regress again. He really didn't think he had it in him to carry out another spanking, he was spent as was Sheldon. Penny on the other hand, was a comforter to Sheldon. She'd come awfully close to putting him over her knee herself a few times, but thankfully she'd found a way to coax him into behaving himself. She was awesome that way, he thought.

"Only Penny is here Sheldon", Leonard yelled across the hallway.

Hearing a, "Kay, be right out", Leonard wordlessly walked to the closet and took out a fluffy pillow especially for this situation and placed it on Sheldon's spot, giving Penny a knowing look above his glasses' rim.

Penny simply nodded and took another sip of her beer, but not before piping out, "Bout time".

Leonard just looked at her semi-surprised. "Really?", he quirked.

"Sometimes you let him go on too long before ..."helping" (making quote signs with her fingers) him get himself under control. You let him run wild and then wonder by he's being an insufferable brat", she analyzed as a matter of factly.

"Maybe you right", he conceded, "but to date you've never been the one to reign him in, either, so you can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk", he jibbed back crossing his arms, leaning against the kitchen counter.

"I don't need to walk the walk, cause I've got the magic touch, I know how to get him to do what I want. I use...positivity", she said smiling widely at him, hoping that really was a word.

"Yeah, if I looked like you, I'm positive I'd get what I want a lot more often too", Leonard quipped under his breath.

"What was that?", she inquired, knowing he was being a smart ass.

"Nothing", he quickly said innocently smiling at her.

"Looks like someone else needs a spanking", she teased.

"Yeah", he laughed, then, a confused look dawned on him, "wait...what...do you mean...you or..me? Or...I..I ruined the moment didn't I", he said begrudgingly, letting his shoulders slump, his head tilted.

"Yup!", she quirked, secretly enjoying his fumbling. There was a charmingly odd quality to his social awkwardness that she just found so adorable. No wonder they were a good match.

At that moment Sheldon trudged out, clutching his Spock action figure to his chest.

"Hi Pooky!", Penny lovingly crooned, a welcoming smile on her face.

Sheldon stopped in his tracks looking at her with big sad eyes, that she just returned with a downturned smile and big puppy dog eyes.

She let go of his eyes and quipped, "Come here", as she patted the sofa, "you can sit on your pillow, or you can lay your head on my lap, while I sing you soft kitty, you want to?", she gently urged.

"Okay", Sheldon answered, eating up her undivided attention. He was going to milk it for all he could and he knew it, Leonard knew it and Penny knew it.

Sure, she got to be the good guy, while he had to be the bad guy, Leonard thought begrudgingly, but the feeling was fleeting. He couldn't help but smile as he took in the scene before him.

Sheldon gingerly sat on the pillow and then carefully layed his head on her lap, wriggling himself into a comfortable position, while clutching Spick. He began to exaggeratingly complain to Penny of all his woes and hardships, while looking up at her from her lap, and Penny attentively listened to every word letting him eat up all her comfort, as she validated him with "aww's" and "oh no's", her face the epitome of understanding sympathy.

She always let him have his turn to express himself before gently reminding him of why exactly he found himself in that position in the first place. That usually put things into perspective for him so he didn't turn himself into a victim. Otherwise there was no lesson learned if he couldn't accept he'd made a mistake in the first place.

When Sheldon wasn't looking at her, Penny looked up at Leonard and mouthed the word "positivity", towards him, smiling cheekily.

Leonard mimicked her mockingly, sticking out his tongue at her. She ignored him and continued tending to Sheldon, as he tugged at her sleeve, finally having noticed she wasn't giving him her full attention.

Thank goodness, thought Leonard, now things could go back to normal, at least for a while anyway.
