A young, blond man looked at the star-filled sky. Confused, he sat up and scanned his surroundings. Green grass stretched for miles all around him. There was no road nor any lights indicating a nearby city. Without a second thought, he got up and headed South. He couldn't remember anything at all. His past, his identity, everything was blank.
After a couple hours of walking, he started to see buildings. They were blurry, but he knew he knew there would be people and continued walking. He decided to go into that city and figure out what was going on. He saw someone walk to her car next to a school building and quickly approached her.
"Excuse me!" He yelled as he ran. The woman didn't seem to hear him, so he repeated, "Excuse me!"
The woman turned and saw him approaching her. "What's the matter?" She asked.
The man panted and asked, "Where am I?"
"Lebanon, Kansas," The woman replied.
The man thanked her and walked through the town. He had nowhere to go. He had no home, no money, and no memory to help him. Everything around him was unfamiliar.
"Adam?!" He heard someone shout. It seemed to be directed at him, but he ignored it.
"Adam!" The voice shouted again, but with more assertion.
He turned to the sound of the voice and saw two men approaching him. The man who was shouting, the shorter one, had short, brown hair while the taller one had long, brown hair. The man didn't recognize him, but they knew him. Was Adam his real name? He decided to go with it. Those guys, who obviously knew him, referred to him as Adam.
"How did you get out of Lucifer's cage?" the other one asked.
Adam stared at him blankly. He didn't say a word.
"You fell into Lucifer's cage," The tall one explained. "We tried to send Lucifer back into the cage, but you fell in it as well." Adam continued staring at him.
"I don't think he remembers anything," The other one told him. He looked at Adam introduced himself and his brother, "I'm Dean, this is Sam. We're your half brothers."
"Half-brothers," He echoed. They could have been lying, but he had no way of knowing. He decided to go along with everything until his memory was restored.
The three men walked to the Chevrolet impala and got in. Dean drove, Sam sat in the passenger seat, and Adam sat in the back seat behind Dean. He stared outside during the ride looking at the houses pass by. When Dean parked the car, he followed him inside some sort of bunker and into the kitchen.
"You hungry?" Dean asked him.
"No," Adam replied. He didn't feel hungry, thirsty, nor tired. The long walk did nothing to him.
"Where do you last remember being?" Sam asked.
"In a field of grass a couple hours away from here," Adam answered.
"You're not tired?" Dean questioned.
Adam shook his head, "No."
"Thirsty?" Dean asked.
"No," Adam repeated.
Dean got out his cell phone and started to dial a number. It ringed a few times before another man answered it. "Cas, Adam's soul is still in Lucifer's cage," He told the man on the phone.
After the man on the phone spoke, Dean hung up. He sighed and buried his face in his hands.
"What is it?" Sam asked.
Dean told Adam, "My brother and I need to talk alone. Stay here." Adam agreed, and Sam followed Dean into another room. Dean grabbed spray paint and started painting sigils on the wall. Sam waited patiently for Dean to finish.
When Dean finished, he explained, "According to Cas, Adam died."
"But Adam is in the kitchen," Sam pointed out.
Dean shook his head, "No. That's Michael."
