O

O! give me love!

Whether it be callous longing,

Or that bitterness of eternal absence,

Give me love!

Send for me this

Constant craving my enfeebled

Hand cannot reach

Give me love!

Whether 'tis melancholy drear

as April be

Or of such a changeling manner

As deceptively sweet May.

Lead me away from

This world's false subtleties

Of which there are

Such a minute multitude,

Do what you will with me;

But give me love!

            Glor'ious is the love which,

            In its perfection, transcends

            Through mind and matter,

            Both life and death,

            But heavy is the heart

            Which mourns love lost.

Authoress's note: Hey! Yes, this REALLY IS an I-man poem! If anyone can figure out what it's about (and it's NOT love :P!) I'll give you a prize. SERIOUSLY! A prize! Like, you know, one of my drawings…So…give it a shot? And let me know how you liked it! ^_^

HINT: Eyah, it IS Darien's point of view!
