"Leroy Jethro Gibbs, you are insufferable." Gibbs chuckled to himself. It was not the first time he had heard those words, and certainly not the first time he had heard them from this woman. He spun around to face her, his arms spread out to his sides, a grin lighting up his face.
"But you love me," he responded lightly. She rolled her eyes, her arms crossed. Gibbs tilted his head and raised his eyebrows, still grinning. The woman huffed.
"Yes, I do. But I haven't the faintest idea why." Gibbs wiggled his eyebrows.
"Oh, come on. There must be something," he said teasingly as he reached forward and pulled her into his arms. She rolled her eyes again before linking her fingers behind his neck. Gibbs began placing feather-light kisses all over her face; first her nose, then both of her cheeks, then above her eyebrows, and so on.
She scrunched up her face, but was clearly enjoying it. "All right maybe. Sometimes, you can be just a little bit...sufferable." Gibbs pulled back.
"That's it? I'm 'sufferable' sometimes?"
"That's all I can think of right now." Kate laughed at the mock offended look he was giving her, then she stretched up and kissed him.
