"You gotta be kidding me," I shake my head, reaching over my desk to smack Scott lightly on the shoulder, "You finally proposed to her?"

"Yes I did, yes. I did." Scott holds his head a high, a smirk plants itself firmly on his face. "You're advice worked great, how did you come up with it?" I heave a sigh, shaking my head on the out breath.

"Woman's intuition." I assure him, trying to hide the smile growing on my lips.

"Lies." He chuckles, getting up from the seat in front of my desk, "Now I'll be going, the school day is about to start." He turns heel and nearly skips out of my classroom. Sighing I turn to my papers and think over today's lesson plan. Glancing out the window, I'm surprised to see snow decorating the school grounds. Well maybe today would be a good day to give the kids a day off? Shrugging, I grab the phone ready to dial for Xavier.

Veronica.

"Holy shit!" I nearly jump out of my seat, dropping the phone in the process. "Can't you be more, I don't know, subtle, Charles?"

I apologize, was there something you needed?

"Uh, yeah," I lean back in my chair, my heart still racing. "I was wondering if I can excuse the kids from class today. It is, after all, the first snow of the year and you know how kids are."

That's actually a wonderful idea.

"Really?"

Yes, because there's someone here to see you. Before I can say another word the mental link is gone.
