After making an awful discovery one night, Elliot runs to Olivia for comfort and a place to stay. Partners and best friends, but will it stay that way? please note that while this is rated T at the moment, later chapters may be rated M

I know this is a short chapter, however I just wanted to get the story rolling. R&R please! (even though there's not much to R&R)

November 20.

Elliot Stabler was on his way home after a long few days at work. He and his partner, Olivia Benson had just finished up with a case dealing with a serial rapist. They had spent the last few days and nights at work, with no time to go home. Elliot was happy to finally be heading home to Kathy and the kids. He was looking forward to having Thanksgiving off with his family this year. As he was pulling up to his driveway, he noticed an unfamiliar car parked in his space. Must be a friend of one of the kids he told himself. He parked in the street, grabbed his stuff from the car and started towards the house, noticing a dim flickering of lights coming from his and Kathy's room. It's 2AM, what is Kathy doing up at this hour? he thought.

As Elliot made his way in the house and began to go upstairs, he heard banging, and moaning from not one, but two people; one he was sure was Kathy, the other an unfamiliar man. Elliot ran towards his room and whipped the door open, fearing that Kathy might be in trouble, however what he saw was worse. His wife was in his bed with another man. The color in Elliot's face disappeared, and a quiet whisper came out of his quivering mouth "Kathy?", to which she replied "You're never home Elliot...what was I supposed to do? It doesn't matter...I was planning on telling you soon...I filed for divorce a few days ago."

Elliot was speechless as tears began to stream down his face. "You can come back tomorrow sometime to get your things" Kathy said. As Elliot was walking out of the room he left Kathy with one last thought: "I only married you because you were pregnant anyways..." Elliot knew that wasn't entirely true, but he figured he'd make her think about it anyways after what she'd done.

As he got back into his car, he picked up his cell phone and started to push #3 on speed dial...Why even bother calling her, I know she's awake he thought. He started the car and began to drive to Olivia's, he knew he could crash there for the night.
