When Severus opened his eyes they found the same green ones he had seen only a moment before, except there was no wire frame of glasses surrounding them. He focused on more than just the eyes now, finding a pale white face and auburn hair. Lily.
"Oh, Severus." She said, enveloping him with a hug. "Thank you for keeping Harry safe."
"Y-you're welcome." He says, hugging her back tightly. "Am I dead?" It seemed like such a childish question, but he found himself saying it anyway.
"It's not so bad." She told him. "Everyone's here. James went to go meet Remus, Sirius went to go meet Fred, and Ted went to go see his daughter."
"Where's Dumbledore?" He asked.
"Talking with Harry." Lily said. "I just got back from seeing him." Tears appeared in her green eyes.
"Already?" He asked, shocked.
"Time goes quicker here." She told him. "You'll get used to it." She stands up, and holds out a hand for him to take. "Come, everyone wants to see you."
She walks with him through the white room, until it seems they were going nowhere, that's when an auburn-haired teenager came running towards them.
"Mum," she said, tears in her hazel eyes. "Harry's alive." The girl was a carbon copy of Lily, but with hazel eyes.
Lily lets out a sigh, releasing Severus' hand to hug the girl. "Thank God, Angel."
When Lily releases the girl, she looks at Severus with a confused look. "Is this my godfather?"
"Excuse me?" Severus asked.
Lily looked at Severus, and smiled slightly. "I was pregnant when Voldemort killed me."
"I'm sorry." He said. "So sorry for that. I've re-"
"I'm just telling you so you know who she is." She told him, putting her hand on the girl's shoulder. "I got James to agree to let things that happened in the passed stay in the passed. I was going to write you when we found out if she was a boy or a girl. She was a girl. Angel Lily Potter." She put an arm around the girl's shoulder.
"Why are you so old?" Severus asked the girl, more curious than rude.
"You're older than me." Angel replied. "When you come here, you turn into the age which would be your prime. I'm guessing I'm about twenty, thank you for asking, she flicked her hair over her shoulder. "Where's Daddy?" Yes, she had her father's confidence, it was in her air.
"He's probably talking with his friends." Lily told her.
She pursed her lips. "I'm going to go find them."
"Wait a second, Angel." Lily told her, turning to Severus. "This is my daughter. We were going to ask you to be her godfather, and I would sincerely like you to say yes, but if you don't, that's okay. It's your choice."
"I..." He cleared his throat. "I will."
"Cool," Angel said, clearly wanting to get out of there as soon as she could. "I'm going to go find Sirius now..."
"All right." Lily said sadly, before the girl bounced away, and looked at Severus and his confused gaze. "She's close to him, they both haven't lived like they should have. They find comfort in each other."
"Y-you wanted me to be the godfather? Why?" He asked.
"I wanted things that happened in school to stay in school." She told him. "It seemed like a good way to do it."
He nodded, not knowing what to say to the woman he had been obsessed with since his childhood, though he had a million things that he had wished he said when he was alive.
"You don't have to say anything." She told him. "I already know."
"You do?"
She nodded sadly. "I know everything." She smiled. "Come, Everyone would like to see you."
