It's funny when she thinks back about how it all started. How anti-climatic their first meeting was.
It was at a summer party in a mutual friend house. She was lying by the pool side, getting a much needed sun tan. Anna was at her side, pinching her arm from time to time, under the pretense of preventing her from falling asleep when Elsa knew that Anna just enjoyed watching her squirm. She was contemplating on the notion of pushing Anna into the pool when some asshole decided to stand over her and cut off her precious source of sunlight.
She frowned and turned towards the intruder. "Umm, can I help you?"
He gave her the smile then. The one that showed off his white teeth and caused his grey eyes to light up. " Name's Jack. Just thought I should let you know."
Was she supposed to be impressed by that? As far as pickup lines go, that was pretty lame. She didn't want to leave him hanging though, so she shook his hand and replied, "Elsa. Nice to meet you, I guess." He barked out a laugh at that. " I know who you are, Elsa. I doubt anyone here won't recognize one of the biggest pop star in the world. I'm a huge fan, by the way. Your songs always make me feel things..." He blushed slightly."...and other stuff. So, uh...yeah. Keep up the good work and I'll go drown myself in humiliation now."
Elsa thought that he looked cuter like this, flustered and nervous and sincere compared to the suave persona that he hid behind a few moments ago. " Hey, don't be embarrassed. I get people talking to me like this all the time. Guess they aren't used to being around perfection such as me." Anna snorted at that line but Elsa ignored her. " So, really, Jack, it's fine."
Jack looked impressed. " Wow. Elsa being sassy. Who knew. Okay, let me get this straight. What you're saying is that I should spend more time with you, right?" Elsa raised an eyebrow in confusion. Jack continued," You know, so that I'll be immune of your charms?" Elsa caught on. "Oh my god, that must be the weirdest way to ask someone out. Like ever." His grin widened. "Is that a yes?" She rolled her eyes and reached for the phone in his hand. She punched in her number while he looked on with repressed glee.
" Jack! Get over here, mate!" Someone hollered from the other side of the pool. Jack gave a hasty goodbye and left. She never gave the incident a second thought, having encountered guys like him before. All they want was a good time and a score that they can brag to their friends about. She didn't expect him to call at all, he probably thought that she was too high maintenance and not worth the effort.
Which was why she was pleasantly surprised when she got a text right after she reached home.
" Hey, just wanted to say, I was enchanted to meet you.~Jack."
