Shadows Of The Night
June 1944, Europe is in war, for the Germans its going bad, the allies just landed in Normandy and now have a foot hold, also the Russians are now on their door step. Hitler now at his wits end is looking for anyway to defeat the allies, any research into technology but also the dark arts.
Deep below castle Wolfestain, a dark and ancient castle in the black forests of Germany that has stood since 1050, and was once home to a warlord who ruled the area for 100's of year it is said, and then disappeared around the 16th century and left abandoned until in 1935 the German S.S. took it over.
Two men in black S.S. uniforms stand outside a double iron door at the end of a long low lit corridor, inside the room can be heard screams of pain and shouting.
"General he can't take any more, it will kill him"
"Quit" barks the general, a slim tall man with a hard, sharp facial feerls "Now that we are so close, we can't stop he can take more".
"but if it takes control of him I'm not sure if we can stop it." Replies a small balding man in a white lad coat that has blood stains running down it. Just as he finish's the cries of pain stop and are replaced by a cold evil laughter, everyone in the room turns to look at the man laying on a metal table covered in small cuts and wire's running into his body leading to a golden skull, on another table that in turn is concerted to a teslcoil pulsing with electricity. Also around the man a amulet with an inhuman face carved into it, and its eyes glowing a dark green.
"You fools, think you can control my powers" The man specks but his lips are out of skink with what he is saying. "Many have tried and failed". With inhuman strength he brakes the iron straps hold him down and bolts up right.
Meanwhile at the base of the cliffs that the castle sits upon 8 shadowy figure's creep about the bushes.
"Sir where is he" ask one of the figure's to another.
"He should be soon, we're abit early, just wait sergeant".
Then someone in a German shouts out " I can't see any mushrooms".
"No but I have some apple's" Replies out of the bushes in English.
"Ah there you are", the German now specks in English. And with that 6 men in British uniforms walk out of tree line and meet with the German officer.
"So how are we getting in then". ask the captain of the group.
"Well we can't use the bunker entrance that's down that way a few yards too heavily guarded, so we're go through an old secret entrance that goes up to the castle and get in that way, the S.S. use the castle as their barracks, the normal soldier's are based in the town"
"Right ok lets get the job done will we." with that German officer leads the men to vines grows up the side of the cliff and puts his hand in, with a click a door made of the rocks opens. The German lead the party in the passage way. The passage way after a short time turns into steep steps going up with only their torches to light the way.
