It had been hours, maybe even days since the war had ended. The pain that followed felt like it would last an eternity. Harry woke up from his sleep and rubbed his eyes. How long had it been since he last was conscious? He looked around the empty room. It looked exactly the way it was since he last saw it. Harry was beginning to wonder if something was wrong or everyone just forgot him, when he heard hushed voices. "I'm just saying, he's been knocked out for 3 days! Maybe it's time for him to come back to reality! I mean people are beginning to wonder if he's disappeared," said Ron. "I know Ron, but we've been through a lot, Harry especially," Hermione answered. "H- Harry!" Hermione stuttered a look of awe on her face as she entered the dormitory. "We didn't expect you'd be up, mate," Ron said, with a solemn look on his face. "What's happening out there?" Harry asked. "Everybody now is just beginning to leave Hogwarts. There are plans to hold a council for everyone in the ministry. Now with Kingsley in charge they figure they should change things up a bit," Ron responded. Harry nodded. "Erm, Harry…. they want me you and Ron to come and help," Hermione hesitated to say. Harry nodded again. Then Hermione burst out in tears. "Oh Harry! Are you okay? I have no clued what to say to you I'm just so happy you're here with us and if you need anything let me know!" Rom patted her on the back and they started to kiss. Harry was happy for them, he really was, but if they didn't stop doing that he was going to have to kill them. Seeing them together really did make him feel happier than he had felt in a while. He threw a pillow at the. Ron smirked. "Sorry mate, get used to it." Harry did have one question lingering in the back of his mind. "Hey what's going to happen now, I mean with us?" Harry questioned. Ron spoke up. "My mother said that until everything is in order you and Hermione are free to stay at the burrow." Harry drew a sigh of relief. "Hey mate, you didn't think we were going to leave you alone did you?!" Ron exclaimed. "Look, you may not need protection from Voldemort anymore, but now you'll need protection from the public. People owe their lives to you Harry. You never know how far they'll go.' Harry hesitated, "It's just after what happened…" Harry closed his eyes. It was still so painful. Fred. Lupin. Tonks. It was all because of him. Ron seemed to know where he was going. "Look Harry, mum's pretty strung up about Fred, but in no way does she think it's your fault. Don't start blaming yourself for things you can't control. Besides, she considers you as a son, and you can' let her lose another one." Harry thought he saw Ron's eyes gleaming, but he quickly turned away. Harry looked around the room that for so long had been his home, his shelter from everything evil. It tore him a part to remember the castle in its present state "What's going to happen to Hogwarts?" Harry murmured. "McGonagall already made an announcement that Hogwarts will be open this September, no matter the circumstances," Hermione said. Harry was glad to hear that Hogwarts would be up and running, even though it seemed as if everything else wouldn't. "Look, we brought you fresh clothes, and whenever you're ready, come to the headmaster's office. Everyone left is in there. The plan is to stay until the morning until the Memorial Service, and then go back to the burrow, and figure things out from there," Hermione stated. Harry grimaced. It would be a sad day tomorrow, and he wasn't looking forward to it very much. "Okay," he said simply.
