(A/N: Hi, Zenn's back! It's been quite some time since I last updated. I just never expected to be writing anything in the Degrassi category, but after last's night episode "Honey", I'm just...really quite distraught over Degrassi's recent turn of events.

If you haven't seen the episode yet, please don't read this, because it's centered around a major character spoiler.

If you've seen it already, then I want you to know that this is my take on the final scene, with the positive outcome that I really wish it'd had.)

Young Once

"I think I'll hang up this card next to his bed." Drew said to Dallas.

But before he had the chance to, both young men heard the door open. It was Audra and Omar, who, for some reason were looking quite pale.

"You're back," Drew said nervously.

"Dallas and I were just hanging up these nice cards for Adam that the campers made. So...?"

Audra and Omar didn't say anything. Their eyes trailed off to the ground. Audra put a hand to her face and began to sob.

At the sight of his mother's distress, Drew's face took on a ghastly look.

"No..." Drew said.

Dallas remained silent as his eyes widened.

Audra's sobs grew louder, and Omar put a comforting hand on top of her shoulder.

"Adam's going to be all right." Omar finally said. "He's...going to recover."

It felt as though a huge burden had just been lifted off of Drew's shoulders. Tears began to well up slowly in his eyes, and he gave a warm smile to his family. He looked hopefully at Dallas to see that he had already begun to cry from relief as well.

"Man, I'm so glad..." Dallas said.

Drew embraced his parents and said, "I can't wait for him to see the room when he finally wakes up."

Dallas wiped away a stray tear, and smiled at the Torres' unity.
