Just a quick note: this fic is an obvious parody if Frozen's "Let It Go". Just wanted to point the obvious before anything else. XD

(The Mystery Shack)

A piano is heard in the background as a lone girl, Mabel Pines, was playing an addictive 8-bit videogame on the console. She was sitting on the floor, looking firmly at the camera and briefly glancing several times at her controller to make sure she didn't mess up.

I got this game at the store today,
And I have some, words to say...

The game is so much fun to play,
And the graphics look quite neat.

All these things and more,
Make this game a treat.

And though It's a bit hard,
I won't leave in defeat.

And then Dipper arrived, looking quite tired. He turned to Mabel and shook his head in disapproval.

Mabel, could you please,
Turn that thing off?

If you keep playing,
You're going to damage that stuff!

Enough is enough,
So turn it off!

Mabel just ignored him. Dipper looked shocked, narrowed his eyes and sung louder.

Turn that thing off!

Mabel just rolled her eyes in response.

Turn it off!
Turn it off!
Stop playing like a mindless sheep!

Turn it off!
Turn it off!
Come on, It's time for us to sleep!

I don't care,
Whatever you may want to say,
You've played that game all day!

You can play it tomorrow, anyway.

Mabel dismissingly waved her hand and paid more attention to the game than her brother, who scoffed and left the room. As the song continued and the hours passed, Mabel yawned and got more and more tired.

There are so many levels,
Each with one big fatal flaw.

But the goal is calling for me,
I just got to beat them all!

And then Stan arrived, looking quite angry at the girl.

For goodness sake,
You're still awake?

If you keep playing,
My patience is going to break!

Not much's at stake,
So take a break!

Mabel gave the old man an angry glare and turned away, which angered Stan.

Take a darn break!

Mabel simply ignored the man and continued to play the game as he sang.

To your bed!
To your bed!
Trust me that it is for the best!

To your bed!
To your bed!
Everybody, even you, needs to rest!

I don't care,
If the game is too much fun!
The hours to play have come and gone!

Stan tried to get Mabel out of the game, but she growled and attacked him. The man, knowing that the girl didn't want to be messed with, he left her alone and she continued to play. She started to get a bit annoyed with the game during the later levels.

I wonder if this game is worth the loss of sleep.

And then she died a lot of times on some platforms.

The difficulty took quite an absurd upwards steep!

By the time she had arrived at the boss, the girl's patience was about to break.

And for my sake, game, you better not get too rough!

What finally broke the girl's patience, however, was when she was defeated by the boss just as she hit his weak point.

That's it!

I'll play no more!
I have had just enough!

She threw her controller and turned off the game console, running to the staircase and going up as she sang:

I will go!
To my bed!
I can't stand that game anymore!

I will go!
To my bed!
My patience is truly done for!

Once she was upstairs and in front of her and Dipper's room door, she went inside as she continued to sing.

I don't care!
If I missed some things!
I'm as tired as heeeeeeck!

The music suddenly stopped and Mabel turned and reached for the doorknob, yawning before finishing the song. As she did, Dipper noticed her and got off his bed.

I can play it tomorrow, anyway.

Dipper walked to his sister and grabbed her shoulder. Mabel turned to him and gave the boy a smile as she closed the door while the last note was played.

The End
