Bellatrix looked at the Remembrall in front of her. Rodolphus had given her this as a gift. It had belonged to his mother before her, and he had stated, with a nervous grin, that every night she would hold it. It was perhaps an unusual family heirloom to give your betrothed, but she had quickly learned that Rodolphus was not the person she thought her family would agree for her. On the surface, he seemed like it, and surely that was all he showed her family, but with her. . .

With her he was different. He was unusal, he was fascinating, he made odd conclusions, and he had some very interesting logic to get to them. She felt something toward him, but she didn't know what it was.

Bellatrix picked up the Remembrall. It glowed bright blue, and she remembered how some old and goblin-crafted Remembrall glowed blue when the holder was lying to themselves.

Her stomach dropped as she put down the object. She would return it in the morning.

She didn't want to tell the truth.

Especially to herself.
