I sat waiting for Jack to arrive, and wondered what our first date would be like.
First dates.
That conjures up a lot. But to be honest, we'd been...dabbling for quite some time. I'd never been with a man before, but something about Captain Jack Harkness drew me to him, like a moth to a flame. It took hold of my heart - and other parts of my anatomy - and I was hooked! I had to have him. He was like a drug and I wanted to keep taking it. Every opportunity we got, we touched, kissed, fucked. We just couldn't get enough of each other. For him, it was probably lust. Full filling a need. For me, it was love.
I was more than a little nervous, I can tell you. Shagging in the Hub was one thing, going out in public was another. This 'being with another man' was new to me and I hadn't yet got my head around it. (Good ol' Ianto. What an innuendo...Jack would laugh his arse off at that)
I wondered where he'd take me. He said 'dinner and a movie'. Right, but where? Had he already chosen? Would he ask me? Oh, boy! But to be honest, I didn't really care, just as long as I was some where with Jack.
Oh, God! The doorbell just went! I wonder if he'll like what I'm wearing. Am I overdressed? Shit! Stop. Worrying!
As I opened the door, I saw these sparkling blue eyes. God, he was magnificent! Then the yellow roses. What a romantic. Who'd have guessed? I stepped aside and led the way to the living room.
"I'll put them in water, shall I?"
"I hope you like roses."
"I love them, thank you."
I kissed him.
"So,where are we going this evening?"
Jack smiled. "Oh, I though, dinner at Last Foss. Maybe a movie and if you're not too tired, a spot of cheek to cheek dancing."
I smiled back. "Really."
"Sound good to you?"
"Absolutely." I dipped my head. "I'll put these in water and grab my jacket."
"I left the SUV in the garage."
"So, we're taking my car?"
Jack laughed. "No. I hired a chauffeur for the night...plus a snazzy car."
"You're really pushing the boat out, aren't you?"
"Yeah, but you're worth it, Ianto Jones."
I grinned from ear to ear, as I took Jack's arm and left the flat.
