A/N: Not much to be said for this other than: ANGST! GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!

Seriously though; this is a Ginny/Tom oneshot... so yeah... it's gonna be angsty.

Bout 355 words :)

Luv ya, FireAtWill52.

Possession, escapism & reality:

"You can close your eyes to reality... but not to the memories." Anonymous.

Ginevra Weasley has escaped many things.

When her older brother, Fred, set fire to her bed, (by accident of course...), when she was 3 years old she had gotten out just fine, all on her own, and ran downstairs to her mother. (Fred had gotten into so much trouble...)

On a much more serious note, Ginny has also escaped Voldemort, in both his present day, and 16 year old, form. (But she didn't like thinking about the 16 year old Tom Riddle... she hated remembering his voice... his face... his eyes...)

Safe to say, Ginny has escaped death. Many times.

She has escaped with scars and bruises, some visible, some not. (Mostly not.)

But there is one thing she has never been able to truly escape.

No matter how hard she tries, she can never escape her memories of Tom Marvolo Riddle.

No matter how hard she tries, she can never escape her feelings for Tom Marvolo Riddle.

No matter how hard she tries, she can never escape the fact that she loved Tom Marvolo Riddle.

He haunted her, day and night; the memory of his voice, his hair, his eyes... they chased her, and caught her and brought her down. Hard.

She could not escape.

Those had been his last words... You can not escape, you are mine. You belong to me. You always will. You always will.

And she knew it was true; even though she loved Harry now, she had loved Tom then.

She could not escape that. She could not run. She could not hide.

She loved him.

And no matter how hard she tried to forget his voice, his face, his eyes... she could not.

And really, when it came down to it, she was not all that sure if she wanted too.

Because she could never escape from him. She belonged to him.

She belonged to him.

And she would never ever escape, she would never ever forget.

She did not know if that was a blessing or a curse.

All she knew was that she belonged to him. And she always would.

She always would.

You always will.

Fin.

Hope you enjoyed!

Been wanting to write that for ages :)
