For the lovely Jana whose wish was granted for this little AU scenario. (:

"Home, let me come home

Home is whenever I'm with you

Ahh home, yes I am ho-oh-ome

Home is whenever I'm alone with you."

They finally let him go. Marcus was relieved that he was going back to Camp Jaha—to his people, to Abby. God, had he missed her. The face she had when he turned back—despite his constant internal scolding not to—just before he left had implanted into his brain as a constant reminder of whom he was trying to save...along with his people, of course.

Stumbling through the trees, the first face he saw was Abby. "Movement in the tree line," someone had shouted, noticing, then, the guards all pointing their guns at him.

"Don't shoot! Don't shoot!" Marcus yelled, his arms in the air as he continued walking towards the gate of the camp. Abby, however, was practically—no, she is running towards him. Before he knew it, she had thrown her arms around his neck and crushed her lips against his. Deep and passionate, at first, before slowly become hungry.

Marcus was, of course, taken aback at her sudden forwardness, but he hadn't seen her in God knows how long, so he easily succumbed to the heated action. Plus, he had always dreamed of kissing Abby. Sometimes do more than such. Especially when they would have an extremely heated argument over whatever it was they were bickering about. The tension between them was undeniable.

His hands were placed firmly on her hips to keep her grounded as though she would fly away into oblivion if he didn't. Everything disappeared around them. Marcus forget about the camp and the people watching them until someone—immaturely—whistled and began clapping, whooping as though he was watching a game they were his winning team. A few others followed suit until practically everyone was clapping and screaming, "Called it!" or "'Bout time, too!"

Blushing, Abby pulled away slowly. He instantly missed the warmth from her mouth that radiated throughout his body. She gave a smile then pulled him into a tight hug, her face burying into the crook of his neck. He did the same while fully wrapping his arms around her waist, inhaling her mixed scent of sweat, outdoor and special favorite of his called Abigail Griffin.

Abby loosened her hold around his neck until her hands fell to his chest, lingering over his heart for a moment before letting them fall to her sides. She looked up at him, squinting from the sunlight, their eyes locking for the first time in days that felt like years.

"Marcus," she stated with a poker face that wouldn't fool anyone.

"Chancellor," he replied. Everyone had dialed down by then.

"I was afraid I wouldn't see you again."

"I had those fears myself." Marcus' gaze shifted from Abby's eyes to the camp, which held everyone of witness to their little intimate ceremony, just behind them. "It's good to see this place again." His eyes then drifted back to Abby's. Placing a hand to the small of her back, he urged her to turn back fully and began walking towards the ship, not moving his hand from its spot.

As the two adults passed, Abby slightly caught a glance at Clarke's expression. Her eyes widened with her mouth slightly agape in confusion. She held back a laugh until her and Marcus were safely inside.

"What? What the hell did I miss?" Clarke exclaimed, her tone shifting up an octave. She turned to face Bellamy who just shrugged.

Surely I hope this was somewhat close to your expectations. First Kabby fic. (;
