Orientation Commentary
"All advanced well-functioning piece of technology will give the impression of magic." - Stephen Hawkings, D.Sc Physics
Greetings, officer cadet, and welcome to Tradoc School of Leadership.
That quote came from one of the brightest brains of my home planet Earth, and basically sums up my first encounter that brought me into the TSAB. Ever since then I've experienced many happenings, comings and goings that few other Earthlings have had the luxury of encountering. But there was a time when I thought I'd have seen it all; that was when I was first assigned to the superdimensional fortress, the pride of the Time Space Sorcerology Department (TSSD), the TSAB Main Base. That was long before it was named "Macross". But, as my adventures that followed the assignment showed, the various worlds are far vaster than what a closed mind can see, and I hope these case studies of events that I've handled as a child would help you on the way to becoming a better, wiser commander.
This module shall focus on a short arc of events set between those codenamed "A's" and "StrikerS". It was my first mission after resolving the conflict involving the Book of Darkness, now known as Reinforce. The planet Cephiro has been the target of hostilities of other dimensions long before the TSAB was established, and her Armed Forces were born into a baptism of fire that she survived stronger than ever. I believe you already know about Cephiron pets but to reiterate, these proud peoples developed another specialization of magic different from our Mid-Childan evasive casting or Velka close-in instant spells and swords, so on and so forth. They opt to concentrate on powering up their familiars, thus forcing their opponents to concentrate on their pets while they use the time bought to channel a big spell. We've had little contact with xenophobic Cephiron authorities prior to that day, and when they suddenly came to the TSAB for help, we were surprised, but definitely not in the mood to gloat. This operation proved to be one of the toughest I've ever encountered, and I'm certain that there are many lessons to be taught from it.
Let's not waste anymore time. As with all my other training records, we shall start off with this:
"Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Files, hajimari-masu..."
Happy learning!
