Ginny never really wore

Make up

(What was the point?)

She grew up with six older brothers.

Boys.

They make it a little hard to be

Girly.

She experimented when she was younger

- She can still hear the laughs -

But as sh up she tried to be tough

And wearing make up makes you weaker

Because it makes you one of the girls

And Ginny wasn't one of the girls,

She was most definitely one of the guys.

But growing up, she saw girls wearing make up

And she saw the reactions of boys

And she wondered

'Would that be Harry?'

But Hermione told her to 'be herself'

And Ginny wasn't girly,

So she tried to get a reaction from Harry without the

Make up

That worked so well for all the other girls.

(But then again, Harry's not like the other guys

And Ginny's not like the other girls.

That's why it worked out so well)

But in the end, it was Ginny who won

(Because to all the girls, it was a game and Harry was the prize.)

She got her

HERO

Her

PRINCE

Her

LOVE

And on her wedding day

(with her beautiful white dress and Harry's handsome black suit)

It was the first time anyone else saw Ginny Weasley

(Not a Weasley for much longer, princess)

Wearing make up.

She was beautiful, no one could deny that.

She was all flame red hair,

Smoky black eyes

And redredred lips

(And for once, her brothers didn't laugh.

That brought a smirk to those redredred lips.)

But afterwards, Harry had been kissing her neck

And her eyes were closed

And there was absolutely nothing in her head

And then large hands framed her face,

Brown eyes opened and peered at his frowning face.

"What's wrong?"

"Your lips."

And then he removed all the gloss on her lips,

Removing all traces of the redredred she had so carefully applied.

Harry preferred Ginny without make up.

Ginny was effortless and beautiful without

Smoky eyes and redredred lips.

And he fell in love with the effortless and beautiful girl

Not the girl who hid behind a mask.

Ginny didn't hide behind eyeshadow

And eyeliner

And lip gloss.

Ginny was tough,

She didn't hide.

And she didn't need make up to get a reaction from Harry.

(Because Harry's not like the other guys

And Ginny's not like the other girls.

That's why it worked out so well)
