William can still remember the day clearly. He stepped out of the manor for the first time after arriving the day before from Scandinavia. The water was reflecting clearly in the glass windows of the mansion that William wasn't able to stop himself from wanting to see where it is. His mother said, England will be bleaker than their previous home.

"Young master, where are you going?" He heard the small voice of their house elf, Kley, and looked at the direction with alarm. The five-year-old William was only just a few steps out of the door and he didn't trust himself to speak the English language just yet although he knows how to fluently use it. As he continued to look at the house elf and not utter a word, it lowered its big eyes. "Forgive me for even asking, master." With that the young Nott continued going off to the backyard lawn determined to see where the water is. He saw a small door which immediately opened with a gentle push. A wide expanse of another lawn materialized along with two blonde kids frolicking by the side of the water which seems to look as a small lake.

His blue eyes locked on the girl's green ones. She looked like the same age as he was and shares a strong resemblance to the boy she was with. Probably brother and sister, William thought. "Are you our new neighbor?" The other boy called out. "Come and play with us." William walked towards them without a word. It was a perfect day, the water looks crystal clear and the two other kids seems to be preparing for a swim. He looked at them with mild interest and as he draw closer, the girl smiled and held out her hand. "I'm Marlene McKinnon, what's your name?" He saw she was missing a tooth in front and it brought a smile on his face as he also has the same missing one. "William…I'm William Nott."
