Everything is in turmoil. The world is burning before his eyes and he can only think of one person. She could be there. It has been years since the last time he saw her but everything stays intact in his memories. They're in two sides of the war but he don't care, he needs to save her.

He thought tonight was just another one of those patrols for Order members but he was wrong. They arrived in a muggle town that was all too familiar. He was here once, yes, just once but he remembered every detail. The swing, the nearby store, everything is muggle created in here. Alarm bells sounded loud in his ears as soon as they set foot from a port key to this town he know is called Charley.

Before he can even ask why here of all the places, Dolohov shouted Incendio and a house blazed on fire right away. William's face was panic stricken. This was beyond he had ever witnessed. This is too much for him, there are people there who are not even in the Order, mere muggles who has nothing to do with the war. Soon, the others joined in burning everything they can lay eyes on.

"What's the meaning of this?" William demanded. "They are not worth our time!"

"Oh is that so? This town nurtured one of those spiteful mudbloods all of them has to suffer."

He hurried pass his fellow Death Eaters in search for the house he once saw from the outside. She can be there, visiting her parents or maybe she really did not join the Order just like he was saying before. He run a hand on his hair panicking not knowing what to do. Everything was burning down. He ran and finally saw how the flames are engulfing her childhood home. He can hear screams everywhere.

William braved the fire and kicked the door. His lungs resisted all the smoke right away but he persisted. The house was alighted by flames and he don't know where first to look for her. Finally, he saw her as he took the stairs, she was wearing a night gown and coughing as thick smoke covers the insides of the house. He reached for her immediately but she tried to yank herself free.

"Come on, you need to get out of here…"

He immediately apparated with her in a nearby hill he remembered seeing when they came here.

"Where are your parents?" He asked feeling dumb that he just left the house without asking if there's someone she wanted to save that maybe the reason why she was resisting earlier.

She was still breathing heavily. "They are gone a long time ago. But there are a lot of people in there." She said as tears pool down her eyes. In the distance they can still see the small town with dark smoke rising to the sky and fire still angry as it was minutes ago.

"What am I going to do?" She said weakly.

"You will leave. You will go overseas, this is nowhere ending soon, so you have to go. If they find out you're still alive…they…we…" he paused as a wave of shame rush to him at the realization that he's a part of everything. "we will come after you again."

"Why did you save me, William?"

"Do you have to ask?"

"Come with me…you're not like them…I know this." She said with voice hoarse from all those smoke she inhaled.

"It's too late for me now, but I can still save you." The silence settled on them heavily then a thunder suddenly broke it. Water hit his face as the rain drops fall. He know they have to leave as quickly as they can but instead he hugged her tightly.

"I've missed you so much. This might be the last time I see you but always bear in mind that I did love you more than anyone else in this world." With that he apparated them just at the outskirts of Hogwarts where he know she can be safe for a few days until she can leave Britain for good.
