Prologue

Me: Yo, waz up peeps?
El: I give up!
Me: But it's only the start of the story!
El: I meant on you!
Me: Oh, hehe
Levy: While El shouts nsults at fairyhearts, I'll do the disclaimer. Disclaimed. That should just about do it. Enjoy!

A small girl stood in the middle of the meadow field. She knew what power the field contained. She knew the devastating possibilities that it was capable of. She also knew the one good thing that could come of it. She continued through the field until she reached the very centre. A bright magical orb was drawn out of her and she visibly weakened, but she stayed focused on the one thing that she wanted. She whispered her wish to the open ears of the buds of flowers in the field and the awaiting air around her. She said it again, louder. She said it for the last time, shouting it. She looked around waiting for something to happen. Suddenly, she was sucked into a darkness that rendered her completely defenceless. She submitted to it, knowing that she would do anything for her wish. If it hadn't worked, she would die willingly. Nothing was worse than wanting the one thing that she could never have. She felt the darkness wrapping around her, pulling her into its inescapable heart.

At the same moment a slowly fading spirit awakened from her deep slumber. She looked about, confused. She felt a tug from deep in her heart. She knew what it meant. "Another one? When are they going to learn that it never works?" she said miserably to herself. She looked deep inside herself and saw the victim that had snared themselves in the darkness this time. She saddened at the sight of such a young girl sacrificing herself for her wish. She sighed. It had probably been a very selfish wish. Most young ones were like that. She probed at the wish, expecting the usual fuzziness of a poor wish. However, she almost gasped at the clarity of it. It was the only thing she had wanted in life. She was reminded of her past and the waste of a wish that she had made. This was the best wish she had encountered in her 500 years of the in-between place she had been locked in after her choice. She glanced again at the girl. It was her! She was the one. The last one of pure heart. The last one she had seen before the fading and her last chance of freedom. She had to save her from it. "I'm sorry, Master L, I had to," she whispered to the air before changing form and plunging into the darkness to save the last one.

Me: Oooooooo
El: Why thank you.
Me: Look at this piece of jade I bought!
El: And I thought you were oooooo-ing for my story.
Me: Oh yeah, you'd better write more soon!
El: I will so...
Both: REVEIW!
