Chapter 1: Forget me not.

Shadows and darkness, that's all I remember. Where was the light? I'm not quite sure. I slowly opened my eyes as I floated in the unending darkness.

Who am I?

A voice whispered in my ear. Choose your fate. Light, or Dark?

My fate? I tried to think. I can't rememwhat my answer though. Not anymore. And maybe, that's what's best for me.

As though I had dived into water, I slowly floated down and landed on something large, round, and white, and suddenly it changed as though birds of white- maybe many doves; flew from it, revealing a platform with a sleeping form built into what seemed to be stained glass in the center. The form was that of a red haired girl, holding something close to her chest, though I couldn't make out what it was.

Blocks holding three weapons- a wand, a sword, and a shield, showed up, and the voice spoke once more.

Choose one as your power.

My power? I walked toward the sword, taking hold of it in my hand.

You have chosen the sword, a power of destruction and great strength. This is your final choice?

Yes. I had no hesitation in my thoughts, knowing I couldn't turn back now.

Now you must choose a power to give up.

I looked at my choices before walking towards the wand, picking it up. It looked sort of cartoonish, but I didn't realize my fate for it until later on. The sword then disappeared.

The wand, power of magic and hope. Is this your final choice?

Yes.

The wand disappeared From my hand.

You have chosen the as word, and gave up the wand. Is this your final decision?

Yes. I was clear on my choices. then, the wholof world faded to dark, and the platform fell apart. I couldn't remember anything else from it.

But, that whole experience was seven months ago.

Now, I'm sitting here on the tree of Heart,a rare, but beautiful tree in my hometown.

"Hey! Illiyana!" Someone called up to me.

I looked down and smiled. "Hi, Itsuki!" I jumped down from the tree where I had been staring out into the ocean by.

Itsuki was my closest friend in the town. He has silver light brown hair, and kind baby blue eyes. His hair spiked out in the back, and rounded his face perfectly in the front.

He smiled at me, wrapping one arm around my neck. "What have you been doing? Day dreaming again?"

I smiled some. "Sorry. I just can't help it. We're leaving here tomorrow... At long last..," I had a sad smile for a moment and noticed it look. "Ah! But I'm not sad about it or anything! I just know we'll be able to come home!"

He laughed softly and we headed back towards the small village on the faraway island where we live.

Little did we know though, that was only the beginning.
