This is inspired by a previous fic that I decided not to use called 'Swearing' - self-explanatory - and my tired, tired mind thinking while I should be sleeping. Hope you'll enjoy.

They're in the small metal room – bored, scared, and angry; as negatively as they could be – waiting. They had no doubt Marvelous was thinking of how to save them. They only feared the price he would have to pay. A human life was worth nothing compared to a promise, a life-long dream. Marvelous had paid to save that dream once before, why should he give it up just to save them? They couldn't let him do it, but they wouldn't entirely be able to stop him either.

Joe knocked his head against the metal wall for the umpteenth time. He was blind, stuck here waiting. He hated it. People about to die waited. The living took action.

Luca watched Joe. He had been her confident and now she wanted to be his. But what could she say? Just sit tight; we'll make it through? Even she didn't believe it.

The door opened. Vasco stood with his arms crossed and that annoying smile on his face. They all struggled with the bonds to get to their feet. Joe watched with cautious eyes. These people were his friends, family basically. If anything were to happen…

"Eh? Marve-chan still isn't here?" He made a pout. "Well then…I guess I'll call up the Zangyacks for the bounty, huh?" They all felt their blood run cold. Vasco tapped in chin in mock thought. "Hmm, 12 million Zagins. What could I do with 12 million Zagins?" He paced the room.

Everybody held breath as Vasco stopped before Ahim. "Well…maybe I don't need 12 million." He leaned in closer to her. "Whatdya say, Princess? I'm sure you and I could repopulate your planet all by ourselves, ne?"

Ahim flushed red. "Zing-zang-gyack-ro!"

"Ahim!" Joe crossed the room, standing between the crazy pirate and his innocent shipmate.

Vasco was momentarily stunned. He eased back on his heels, the smirk turning into a grin. "You've got a dirty mouth, huh?" He chuckled. "Fiesty."

"Zing-zang-gyack-ro! Zing-zang-gyack-ro! Zing-zang-gyack-ro!" Ahim continued to scream. Joe bowed his head to hide the smile. This side of Princess Ahim was intriguing. Vasco scoffed, turning dramatically out the door.

Joe turned around. Ahim hung her head now, blushing red in shame. "I deeply apologize for my language. It was most inappropriate of me."

Where'd you learn that?" Luca asked.

"I remember the Zangyack saying it when they were ambushed by the Imperial Guard. I later learn what it meant when Marvelous-san rescued me."

Joe smirked. "It wasn't improper at all." Ahim looked up at him. "He acts like that again, and feel free to kick him where it hurts." Ahim's blush got even redder. She look away and nodded.
