She often reminded him of a little girl. Scared, lost, confused…
It probably didn't help that her personality changed every time she ate someone's brain- thank goodness it didn't last too long, otherwise he'd go nuts!
But he'd still have her back.
There wasn't any real bond, at first. It was just them working side by side. She would eat brains and then he would pretend not to notice, and when she wasn't looking, he'd see what he could gather from her appearance alone. For those 5 months where she didn't tell him, he always had one question at the top of his mind;
Why the hot sauce?
But then, of course, he got his answer. He also received many other answers, and as he got answered questions, he also received unanswered questions.
He wanted to know this girl, now.
More and more, she was becoming a part of his life- not just a piece of meat to study. Heavens no, she wasn't what he viewed as a subject. Even if she never did after that night on the boat dock, he considered her a living, breathing human.
She still felt emotions.
He held her when she was scared and sad. When Lowell died, and finally she became herself again and stood by him, crying, finally allowing herself to mourn…
Of course he went over to her. She needed comforts, reassurance.
Every time she had to deal with a new wave of emotions, a new wave of personality traits and quirks, he stood by her side. He remained there to hold her back- because, well, as I stated before, he viewed her as a living human.
And someday, he wanted to make sure she saw herself that way, and it was real.
Boss and subordinate, thick as thieves. He never guessed he'd be such great friends with a zombie, but once he was pulled into her life, there was no turning back.
And you know what? I don't believe Ravi really wanted to leave Liv's life.
'Cause I just watched iZombie these past two days and gosh am I in love.
