Welcome to my first Fanfic ever! I know the idea is clichéd, but it is what is currently musing me enough to write. All comments are appreciated!

The frosty January air made Brennan shiver.. It had been four months since Brennan had walked through the parking lot of the Jeffersonian. As another gush of wind swelled past her, Brennan fought the terror building inside trying to prevent her from going through the doors that were coming increasingly closer to her. The repressed anxiety had been steadily building since she had fled from the institute months prior and ever since she had hoped she would never have to return, however, her job had gotten in the way of that. After a four month sabbatical of trying to loose her self in her problems, Dr. Temperance Brennan was reporting to work to final face her growing problem.

Brennan had decided that she didn't want any fuss on her return to work. If she had it her way she would stay invisible from her co-workers lives, though, she knew the was a growing issue that would soon be the issue of much controversy around the office, and for her sanity she needed to conceal it.

The morning was easy she slipped into her office with a minimal briefing from Cam and no other interruptions. Lunch was a different story. Angela slipped into her office (Brennan had planned to work through lunch) with a mega-watt smile plastered onto her face. She suggested the two of them grab lunch and catch up. Despite Brennan's attempts to decline, Angela in her usual way persuaded Brennan that no was not an option. They had a pleasant lunch full of Brennan's attempts to avoid explaining her absence. Finally though Angela asked, "So Bren spill, what happened between you and studly that led to you running away?" Brennan glared hoping to get Angela not to press on, but eventually Brennan resigned to the fact that wasn't going to happened and simply said, "you'll have to find out eventually I guess." Angela who was confused by the comment laughed "Bren this isn't the time to play cryptic mind games with me. Whatever it is you can tell me." Brennan knew the truth in her friend's words, but also knew that her secret was going to come out eventually too. Brennan took a deep breath before uttering the words she'd been dreading to speck out loud, "Angela, Booth and I slept together and I'm pregnant."
