FIRE and i.c.e.
He just watches her as she walks down the street, swirling her umbrella.
The umbrella was clear. He could see right through it. Much like the way he could see straight through her.
She loved putting up the tough girl act.
The only problem with that act?
It wasn't an act.
She was that strong all the time. It drove him nuts that she was as strong as she was.
She loved the rain.
Rain puts out fires.
She thinks that some day, the rain will extinguish the fire in her life.
So she waits. She walks. She enjoys the rain whenever she can.
Because it never lasts long enough.
But the fire lasted a long time. It killed off everything she ever needed, wanted, loved.
Her caring mother.
Her helpful father.
Her sweet sister.
Her wonderful grandmother.
Her amazing grandfather.
Her cute dog.
All of them went up in flames. {Ashes to ashes.}
She was the only one that came out alive, and when she did, everybody realized just how cold hearted she really was.
So cold-hearted, not even fire could take her out.
So instead of soaking up the sun (what a sadistic song that is), she soaks in the rain, letting it take over every inch of her clothing.
She laughs and smiles when it's raining, and only then.
Once the sun comes out, it's back to being somber and angry.
Because sun is fire. She hates fire, even though that's what's in her soul.
She likes night. It's cold and chilly and haunted, with weird creepers haunting her.
She can hear the voices calling her over, and when she follows the voice, she realizes no one is there.
So she disappointedly continues walking down the street and into the night,
Wishing that she would just fade into the darkness.
But she never does.
She just waits to die of pneumonia from the chilly rain and the wind.
But she never will.
He waits for her to want him.
But she never has.
So he just watches her dance, and hopes it's enough. (It never is, though.)
So one sunny day at Camp Rock, he asks:
Caity, why don't you ever smile.
She lets a tear fall (something he's never seen before) and replies:
Because that would mean that I'm alive.
Caitlyn Gellar steers clear of Shane Gray, because he's the fire to her ice.
She HATES fire.
This one's for Bonnie (because she's worth it). Since she's the one that made the bargain with me. She's posts, I post. Sorry it sucks, hon.
Of course, there's nothing new there, right?
