Chapter 1: A First date

CyberActors15: Greetings mortals and viewers alike my name is CyberActors15 and this… this is a weird fanfiction that I am about to write. Alright I am going to be real with you, this is the first harem pairing I have ever written and all honesty I am not sure how I feel about harems. Don't get me wrong I personally have nothing wrong against the polygamous relationship, if people can make it work then to each their own. However I have had people asking IRL and in some IMs how I feel about writing harems, and a bit of my own curiosity led me here to write this fic, so let's see how this goes. Yeah this is going to be weird for me to write. Alright now onto info about the story. This story is set a few years after Danny's start at Danny Phantom, and as a result of that most of the episodes have occurred, save for a few that I personally chose to ignore, for example Phantom Planet hasn't happened yet. That's all the relevant information that you need to know. It's worth noting though that I have no clue where this story will go, or how it will progress, so I am kind of non-committal to this story, but I will try my best. Now for the disclaimer, I don't own Danny Phantom nor am I attempting to encourage or discourage polygamous relationships. With that said let's get into the story.

Quite frankly he couldn't explain how this happened. If anyone asked for an explanations on how this ended up occurring, he wouldn't be able to explain it, because quite frankly Danny Fenton had absolutely no idea how he ended up with three girlfriends, at the same time.

All he knew was that it was their idea for him to date them all at once. Yes, their idea. They knew about each other, heck they were all in the same room at the current moment, casually relaxed as they all waited for their boyfriend.

The first, Sam Manson, one of Danny's best friends since primary school. Over the years that Danny had known her they had been best friends, partners and allies. She was there when Danny gained his powers and Danny was there for her when she similarly inherited ghost powers and the title of a Halfa. Danny had helped her with her powers just as she had helped him. They had always had a strong connection, which eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship, one which Danny was glad to have.

The second, Valerie Gray, one of Danny's close friends and rivals since high school. Just like Sam, Danny and Valerie had known each other for quite a few years. But it was only in high school where they became close. With Valerie being the Red Huntress their paths crossed on multiple occasion with their alter egos at odds with each other, but over time Valerie became more of a rival, trying to one up herself as the better ghost hunter, a challenge which Danny responded to. That rivalry and competing caused the two to spend more time with each other, especially when Danny revealed his secret identity to Valerie, and eventually their rivalry also blossomed into a romantic relationship, one which Danny was glad to have.

The last and certainly the most unexpected was Ember McLain. They started off as enemies, the goody two shoes superhero who stopped ghosts from wreaking havoc in his world and the ghostly super villainess who wanted to wreak havoc on the world in an act of rebellion against any and all adults and authority figures. They fought on so many occasions that it's a big surprise that they ended up dating in the first place. But Danny's nice guy composure led him to eventually talk to the ghostly diva and the two gained an understanding for each other which turned into respect. Danny reminded Ember of a person she knew when she was alive and due to that they ended up spending more time together. Their time together increased their bond and soon they found themselves in a romantic relationship, one which Danny was glad to have.

Over the past three years Danny had been hanging out with Sam, Valerie and Ember and increasing his bond with all three of them and growing fond of them all. It wasn't planned it just happened, it was almost like they were dating but none of the four ever said the word "date." Danny's clueless mind didn't seem to realise that he we becoming close to all the girls, or that he was practically dating each of them with all the time they spent together.

It took all three of them confessing their feelings for him and an intervention from Tucker for Danny to get a clue as to what was going on. While Tucker spoke to Danny that day, Sam, Valerie and Ember had a not so friendly discussion, however somehow it was sorted out and when the three returned the declared at the same time that they all wanted to date Danny and that they would share.

Danny wasn't given a chance to choose one or deny all as the three decided that they were his girlfriends and that they were in a relationship. However to be fair, Tucker claimed that they were all already in a relationship with Danny, just no one had been willing to admit it before that day.

After that Danny found himself with three confirmed girlfriends and today he was going on his first date with all three of them at the same time.

"Well dude, good luck." Tucker said bringing Danny back to reality and bringing attention to the two boys as they stood at the door to their apartment. "Ladies have fun. I'm going to go play video games."

Tucker walked deeper into the apartment as he greeted all the girls in the room. Each of the girls halted their respective activities, greeted back and approached their boyfriend, each of them sporting new looks for their hang out with Danny.

With high school have ended and Sam finally being able to move into her own apartment away from her parents influence, she had long since gotten rid of her long hair which was always tied in a ponytail for a shorter lopsided look, still dyed black as she refused her natural hair colour, and as usual her lilac eyes still shone with the winds of rebellion. She still retained her gothic makeup with an obvious preference for purple with purple eyeliner being what brought her look together. She still had a black tank top which exposed her midriff but she also wore a purple coat on top, almost as if she couldn't make up her mind between weather she was hot or cold. Additionally she had black skin-tight jeans and black boots.

Valerie had changed as well, gone was the relaxed hair she once wore, and what had taken its place was a braided style which she decided to keep long. She wore a long sleeved yellow crop top with a red and white baseball jacket wrapped around her waist. She also wore black skin-tight pants with red sneakers. Her style was simpler but they worked to highlight and accentuate her hourglass figure and form, a form which, although she would not admit to it, Sam was jealous off.

Lastly Ember, Her ghostly appearance hadn't changed much, but she had adopted a new appearance, specifically for hanging out (dating) with Danny or for human world shenanigans when she didn't want to be recognised. She had taken a page from Penelope Spectra's book and used her power to create a human appearance, one that would fool even the sharpest of eyes. In her human disguise, Ember had fiery red hair and a toxic eyes with a certain gleam that would cause most responsible adults, Danny and Tucker excluded, to tell her to stop what she was doing. Her punk rock makeup didn't retract from adult anxiety. She wore a blue graphic tee which had a pirate's skull and crossbones on the front with a black leather jacket on top. She also wore black leggings with denim short shorts on top. And to top it off, she had a pair of white punk heeled boots.

All of them looked stunning in their respective styles, which once again proved to confuse Danny. He still couldn't understand how he was able to win over three girls like these at the same time, him, the former loser of Casper High and general nobody in relation to the greater scheme of things in Amity Park.

"Hey Danny." Sam was the first to greet, with a kiss to the cheek no less. "What took you so long?"

Valerie not wanting to be outdone also gave Danny a kiss on the other cheek, which prevented him from answering, and Ember the most competitive of the three also gave a kiss but on the lips and gave a victorious smirk to Danny's other two girlfriends to which they responded with glares.

Despite the competitive air which threatened to explode with the slightest spark… and three very heated female personalities, neither an argument nor fight nor competition sparked. It was part of the pact the girls formed when the day they started dating Danny. For the sake of their clueless idiot they wouldn't let fighting break out between the three, they might compete in a small way but they would never let it turn into a full blown fight.

"Well hello to you too." Danny commented after the series of kisses. "I'd like it to go on record that for once in my life I am not late. You are all just early. I thought you guys would arrive in half an hour."

Danny gestured to the clock to prove his point. It was in fact early.

"Can you blame up baby-pop." Ember said. "We are finally officially dating…"

"After so long…" Valerie added.

"And so many hints…" Sam muttered.

"After three years of being clueless!" Tucker shouted from his room in the apartment, which resulted in an embarrassed 'shut up Tucker' from Danny.

"Can you blame any of us for being early? Also with your track record can you blame us for expecting you to be late?" Ember added.

"Once again I would just like to go on record that you guys know what my life is like, heck on more than one occasion, you were the reason I was late." Danny justified.

Ember and Valerie gave a nervous smile at that response.

"Either way you're here now, so we can get a move on, and go on our date." Valerie said changing the subject to the important matter, their date. To be accurate, their first date as a couple… or harem in the case of this particular situation.

They had obviously gone on dates before, at least all the girls viewed their previous activities over the past three years as dates while Danny, being clueless, saw them as nothing more than hanging out. But now that they had made their intentions and feelings exceptionally clear, they were finally going on a proper first date. It was going to be an interesting one, since once again it was three girls at once, but the competitive fire that burned within them all wouldn't allow either of the girls to be the one to have the 'first' date by themselves, so it was decided that they would go together as one big happy harem as opposed to Danny going on three individual 'first' dates.

"But I'm not ready yet." Danny commented, referring to how he was dressed and looked.

"Danny, you are amazing just the way you are. You don't need to change a thing for any of us." Sam said with a warm smile.

Danny raised an eyebrow and looked at his appearance, the very appearance which was 'amazing just the way [it was].' His raven black hair was still messy, spikey and dishevelled. Over the past few years Danny had grown, in muscle and in height. He wasn't the apex of masculinity or anything near that, he didn't have Dash sized muscles, but he wasn't a lean twig either. He still wore simple clothes with a preference for the white and green shirt, but to hide his muscular form he did wear a black hoodie, which was a size too big. He wore blue jeans and red sneakers.

"Aren't I dressed too simply for our first date?" Danny asked.

"Didn't you hear her Danny?" Valerie spoke. "You are great just the way you are."

"Well I guess if you three like me like this we can get going." Danny said with his usual nervous grin accompanied by rubbing the back of his head.

The girls smiled at his action, it was simple but spoke volumes of his humble attitude and his character.

"Great, that's settled." Ember grinned as she grabbed onto her shared boyfriend's arm. "Let's get going dipsticks. I have been waiting for this for too long."

The date that the four were going one was a simple one for their first one. It involved, for the first part going to this new theme park in Amity Park, more accurately they were going to the milkshake bar in the theme park. They might explore the rest of the theme park but the milkshake bar was the main purpose of the trip. The milkshake bar, which was called Kingdom Swirl, had a special deal and entrance fee for couples. It's marketed as a placed where Kings could bring their Queens for a royal treatment of milkshakes, waffles and treats fit for royalty. It was known for catering to and celebrating all kinds of couples whether it be the regular heterosexual couples or couples that fell into the LGBTQ community. Basically it was the perfect location for a dating party of four.

There was a bit of surprise when Danny arrived with his three girlfriends but the staff accommodated the four quickly and the four were seated at a table, ordering their milkshakes and enjoying them.

Sam, being Sam, decided to get matcha flavoured milkshake, Valerie decided to get strawberry milkshake, Ember decided to get Rocky Road flavoured milkshake and Danny got Neapolitan flavoured milkshake. The girls asked why Danny decided to mix the flavours to which he smirked.

"Perfectly balanced, as all things should be." Danny said confidently.

The girls just stared at him before they all burst out laughing, which acted as a needle touching the balloon that was Danny's ego.

"Sorry Danny, but you said that so seriously." Sam laughed. "That sounds like something Clockwork would say. But unfortunately you can't pull off the cool and mysterious aloofness that he does."

"I take offense to that." Danny responded before he began to chuckle and started laughing alongside the girls. "It was kind of lame wasn't it? I think I need to be a movie villain to make that line work."

The group laughter continued for a moment and devolved into the four talking about different movie villains and tying them to the idea of balance. That eventually turned to them quoting movie villains from their favourite movies. That was an interesting experience, Ember mostly referenced movies from the seventies since that had been when she was alive and those included most of the memories of movies that she had. Sam quoted from most of the horror movies which she had seen. Valerie, in a surprise to everyone but Danny, quoted Disney movie villains. She had an appreciation for the animated classics. Danny quoted superhero movie villains. By the end of their villain discussion the four came to the conclusion that the lines which villains spoke in movies were corny but loveable.

After the villain chat, the chat turned to one more normal. Conversations about university and Ember's musical career. All three were clearly enjoying themselves. The fun only intensified when one of the waiters appeared at their table.

The four were named couple, or in their case harem, of the day, and on account of that they were offered free waffles and a chance to take a picture on the couple throne. To emphasise the kingdom theme of this milkshake bar the randomly selected couple of the day would get a change to sit on the thrones and get their picture taken, with a king and queen's cloak and crowns.

Valerie and Ember were hooked by the idea instantly and agreed. Sam wanted to decline but the thought of Valerie and Ember taking a picture without her, made her competitive nature resurface so she agreed to the joining in the picture and sitting at the thrones. Danny had no choice in the matter.

It seems despite initial reactions to a relationship of four, Kingdom Swirl, was more than prepared for this, and as a result there was one king throne and three queen thrones as well as cloaks and crowns.

Getting the cloaks and crowns on was a simple endeavour and the four moved on to the thrones and sat down for their pictures and complimentary waffles. Valarie sat on the throne on the far left. Next to her was Sam. Next to Sam was Danny and next to Danny was Ember.

As they smiled for the picture, Danny couldn't help but notice their order. It was weird to explain but their positioning, seemed to hold a message. One that Danny couldn't understand. One human. Two halfas. One Ghost. Danny's earlier comment, the one made about his milkshake came back to his mind.

There was something about this which was balanced. And it worked.

Clockwork watched from his tower as the timeline progressed. The master of time had a small smile.

"Those four have quite the journey ahead." Clockwork spoke. "Everything is the way it is supposed to be."

CyberActors15: Yeah this is still weird.

Dani: I didn't expect you to write a Harem story.

CyberActors15: Neither did I. But this is a first chapter. We will see if I update it further.

Dani: I just wonder how this will affect my presence. Usually you have me act as Danny's daughter, but in this scenario, who would be my mom.

CyberActors15: Dude I don't know. On account of that I might just have you act as Danny's cousin. But who knows. Anything can happen in this story.

Dani: I will accept that for now. So what will happen next time? Read, review, favourite and follow to find out.
