Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Chapter 1
Sorry Harry was just up and chilling there, hanging out, playing Nintendo like most young wizards do in their summers, when an owl flew in his window. There was a note scribbled onto its shaved back. It read.
'Yo, what up B? I be comin to pick yo up. -Ron shizle'
Harry sat, puzzled for a minute. Then he reread it. There was a knock on his door. Harry quickly stuffed the owl his in pants pocket and opened the door.
"Oh Harry, its your birthday!" said Uncle Vernon.
It wasn't anywhere close to Harry's birthday, but the sheer excitement he felt that his uncle had remember overwhelmed him and he began to clap.
"Silly boy! It's not your birthday! Now get out the work gloves and scissors and trim the lawn!"
Harry felt like saying 'grrr' in an act of defiance, but Uncle Vernon might lock him up again. He grabbed the gloves and solemnly went outside with a pair of left-handed scissors that his cousin, Dudley provided him with. Dudley sneered as Harry went to begin his day's work.
VRROOOMM!!! Before Harry could think of starting on the lawn a flying car landed. It was Ron! In case you weren't aware that is Harry's best friend from wizard school.
"Is that an owl in your pocket, Harry?"
"No."
"Hey, B! Yeah it is! That's my owl!"
"Is not."
Harry quickly pulled the owl out of his pocket and hid it behind his back. He snuck his wand out, too, and turned the owl into a lawnmower. Then he put his wand away.
"I'm just out here cutting the grass like my favorite uncle told me to. He remembered my birthday."
"But Harry, your birthday isn't for weeks."
"What's your point?"
"It's not your birthday. And he's not your favorite uncle."
"He's my only uncle."
Ron was silent for a while.
"Give me back Erol."
"I don't have him, I have this lawnmower, but no Erol."
Harry started up the lawnmower, it squawked like an owl. Then Harry began to mow the grass. Ron looked confused. He got back in his car and started it up.
"Fine, stay here all summer. Not my problem, B."
Harry handed Ron the lawnmower.
"Oh you mean THIS owl! Here you go."
Ron put the lawnmower in the trunk of the car.
"Now go get your stuff, Harry," said Ron.
Harry was happy to oblige and as Uncle Vernon tried to stop him, Harry turned him into a lawnmower, too. Aunt Petunia was in an uproar, so Harry turned her into a lawnmower as well. Dudley just sat cuddled up in fear in the corner of the living room.
"Fool, get my stuff or I'll turn you into a lawnmower, too!"
"Y. y.y.Yes H. H... Harry!"
Dudley stumbled up to Harry's recently acquired master suite bedroom and got Harry's stuff. Once Dudley had loaded it all into Ron's car he waited around for new instructions.
"Thanks, B, that'll be it. Seeya next summa."
Ron used his new wand and turned Dudley into a lawnmower. They took off towards Ron's house.
