Light the Candle
A/N: I know I should totally be updating other stuff, but I've never done a real drabble before, the kind that is exactly one hundred words, no more no less. I'm trying to experiment with different writing styles, and any kind of feedback is appreciated, so if I totally screwed this up, I'd love to know.
This is basically in Ikuto's point of view, set during the teacup ride he had with Amu, which is totally is totally unoriginal and has been done a million times before, I know, but I haven't really written any Amuto in a while and it's been a long time that I've written something in Ikuto's point of view.
I am such a Rent-head, it's not even funny. Kudos to those of you who get the obvious and unoriginal reference in the title.
I really hope I didn't screw this up, because this is kind of dedicated to En ar Ciel, who's birthday is today. It's the least I can do since she's such an awesome beta and just an incredible person in general.
blech, I'm so cheesy it hurts. :/ Don't hold it against me.
He wasn't sure if he was allowed to feel this way. He didn't know if it was okay to be this…free.
It was too good to be true. Any moment now, he would wake up and his world would be dark again.
He was dark and cold, and a girl like her, who's eyes shone brighter than he thought was possible...
He didn't deserve this fleeting moment of happiness. He knew that the light would go out eventually; it always did.
He couldn't believe it, because even when the lights shut down, the light in her eyes never faltered.
A/N: I hope you Amuto fans are pleased. Thoughts?
