Yes, I know I said I'm going to update Truth or Dare. But this came into my head and wouldn't leave so alas. I'm starting another multi-chaptered fic because I'm smart.
:D
This is just a prologue, to start it off and stuff. I'll update... After I update other things... Probably...
It's IanXKevin because this pairing is my life and you people don't understand how perfect it is. There's hardly any fics about it. Seriously guys, come on.
Disclamier: I don't own.
Warnings: Yaoi, swearing, mentions of abuse in later chapters. Like, waaaaay later.
Remember- this is just a prologue. Chapters will be a lot bigger, and a lot more detailed. Have fun.
A smile. A frown.
A laugh. A tear.
The light. The dark.
So different. So unlike. So impossible.
But one similarity. The one thing that fuelled the spark of hope that was soon to be created in the teenage boys heart.
They were both alive.
Alive in the literal sense, alive in the metaphorical sense; both were living. Breathing. Heart thumping, brain controlling their bodies, limbs moving and lungs taking in that precious, precious air. They were both living.
One knew what he wanted from the world. He knew how to laugh, how to smile, how to play and how to work. He was just a normal boy. Nothing special, after all, super powers only existed in comic books and films. But he had great potential.
And the other? The other couldn't be more different. The other hadn't smiled in... Who knows how long? No one remembered. But then again; he didn't like to be around people all that much. Didn't like to talk. Didn't like to be noticed. Tried everything he could to avoid interaction with anyone apart from his teammates. His family.
And the metaphorical sense. One was alive in his mind, bright colours playing behind his eyelids as he dreamed, dancing in the light. Everything he saw was a potential thing to have fun with- there wasn't any limits for him.
For the other, we turn the situation around completely. Black. Darkness. Fear. Pain. He was dead inside, no hope. No inspiration. But at the same time, he had never felt more alive.
They say opposites attract, but this is simply ridiculous. How can a young boy with so much to give, who laughs and smiles at everything, even become friends with a boy who... Well... Didn't. Didn't laugh and smile. It's impossible.
But... Nothing's impossible.
Tigers and wolves.
Monkeys and snakes.
Life.
And love.
As you may already be able to tell, it's going to be slightly angsty. How I'm going to do it is: one chapter in Kevin's POV, then one in Ian's but for the same situation, then Kevin, then Ian, etc etc. I might add something in, like every four chapters or so I do one in the authors POV (third person). Maybe.
I'd ask you to review, but this isn't really a chapter as such, merely an intro. So you can if you want and all that jazz.
