Feminine

Scully lit some scented candles.

I am NOT going to think about work tonight, She promised herself.

This was her night. There was an unwritten law that every woman should have a night to make themselves feel special at least once a week.

But Scully never felt that she had time for pampering.

Work had been slow, for once and when Mulder had offered to file their reports, she jumped at the chance.

The truth was, she needed this, to feel like a normal woman.

She ran herself a hot bath, and poured in vanilla oils, her favourite scent. She breathed in the sweet smell. It was heavenly.

She looked through her bathroom cabinet, all of the products that she usually used she kept in a drawer, this was her girly stuff.

She couldn't help but smile when she remembered the time she and Mulder had went undercover as a married couple and he had seen her in a facemask. The look on his face

was priceless.

She looked at the expiry dates on some of the lotions. Jesus, when was the last time I used these? She asked herself.

She unscrewed the cap off one and sniffed it cautiously. Ugh. Definitely not what she had in mind.

She slipped out of her bathrobe and lowered herself gently into the bath.

Scully closed her eyes and started to relax.

Afterwards, she sat in her room, feeling fresh and feminine.

Her phone rang. She was already prepared to answer it in her usual way" Scully" but she decided against it.

"Dana." she answered, when she picked up the phone.

"Scully, it's me." came Mulder's voice. "I think I have something here..."

She sighed, and closed her eyes. She knew her "Normality" wouldn't last for long, but it had been nice.

Besides, even at her most professional, Mulder always had a way of making her feel like a real woman.

"I'll be right over." she told him, and she hung up, a smile on her face.

The End.
