Alistair fought to keep his expression neutral. He didn't want to hurt her feelings, after all she didn't have to make him dinner.
But, oh Maker, did it taste awful. She had cooked the meat far too long and he nearly gagged at the taste of it. He knew he should tell her the truth, but Elissa was smiling at him and he found that the words couldn't come.
So he grinned brightly and said, "It tastes great."
He was rewarded for his troubles when she leaned in and gave him a long kiss.
