LET THERE BE LIGHT
I feel its touch, beseech the skyAnd the heavens open up, it cries
With grief and sorrow not mine.
Eternal shadows cut across the back
Soiled, polluted shadows, fiends of black
Together they play.
Cobalt waves of cold, dance
Across the murky plains, thunder races
Divinity reigns.
Eyes not his, feelings spurned
A mind, a heart, a soul lost and churned
In a world of despair.
Lightning streaks over the horizon
From the darkness bursts forth a light
And this time through the smoldering fire
Mouths open wide they scream.
