A young woman with long curly black hair that reaches a couple of inches past her shoulders was poise in front of an elaborate vanity mirror with a hair brush in her right hand.

'I don't want to attend this party...' She weighs to herself while she brushes her hair in to a ponytail before she settles the brush back on the vanity's surface.

Her eyes linger over toward her bed to discover the outfit that she was requested to wear for the afternoon activities. She admired the deep hue, which was the perfect hue as it accentuated her skin complexion plus it was her favorite color to wear.

'It seems as if this is another one of my sneaky father's schemes for me to locate a husband just so I can assume his place.' The young woman predicts before she reaches for a clip and pins her bangs past the side of her ear lobes.

She reaches out for two light red chopsticks and slides them inside of the rubber band that holds her hair in place.

A knock on the door and a feminine voice surfaces her out of her thoughts. "Lady Natsumi, the guests are starting to arrive."

The young woman, known as Natsumi, senses that the maid omits something important from the message.

"Is there anything else?" She inquisitively questions when she overhears the maid finally mentions, "I was sent to make sure that you wear your kimono correctly this time."

The message from the maid causes a small smile to appear on her face when she assumes, 'So this must be a very important party if he had to send the maid up.'

Natsumi releases a sigh before she grants the maid permission to enter inside of her personal room so the woman can complete her assign job.

She stands to her feet once the maid draws closer to her as she peers down at the kimono. Natsumi admires the two golden dragons that were intertwine within each other as if they were engage in a fierce duel to the death.

The obi cloth was a similar color of the dragons but it was darker. "How is this supposed to be tied?"

The maid studies the material within her grasps before she proceeds to work on the obi and divulges, "The seamstress said that the obi is to be worn in a butterfly style, Natsumi-hime."

'Butterfly...huh?' she repeats to herself when she notes the length of her sleeves were past her wrist. They were stitched with yellow thread before she realized that she had to wear a golden colored undergarment.

"I'm finished Natsumi-hime." The maid's voice eventually snaps her out of her thoughts.

She had glanced down to see that the maid successfully and quickly tied the bow with skill and precision in a fast manner.

"Thank you. You are dismissed." Natsumi thanks and sends the maid out to complete her regular duties.

Natsumi's father, the Emperor of Japan, threw a party for what reason? Only Kami-sama knows why.

She had found out about the party a couple of weeks back and planned to ditch the event. However ever since she came of age, she was forced to attend parties such as this one.

'I guess he really wants me to find a proper suitor.' Natsumi assumes to herself while she travels through the crowd without so much as a word to any of her guests.

What she did not recognize was that majority of the crowd consist of men who attends the event to gain her interest.

Some of them stared at her because of her wealth or beauty or sex and other images that men with out of whack hormones could imagine of but she advanced forward anyway.

'Where is that back exit? It should be around here...' Natsumi wonders while her eyes searches for the exit among the crowd. 'Found it!'

Natsumi quickly thrusted the back doors open only to have her hopes of escape dashed once she saw the guards at the door.

"And just where do you think you are going princess?" One of the guards inquisitively poses to her after they rotate around to see that it was just the princess at the door.

'Dang it!' "Oh I was just uhm getting some fresh air that's all." Natsumi lies with a straight face and a smile on her face.

"For a minute there...it looks as if you were about to pull one of your infamous escape moves again." The other one suspiciously alleges.

'Kuso,' "Not at all...I was just heading back in." She falsely claim before she swiftly shuts the door behind her.

Natsumi then props her back against the door while she exhales a sigh of frustration at the failure in her plan.

'Dad probably got the whole perimeter guarded.' She gloomily predicts before she mentally slaps her forehead with one of her hands. 'Ah duh Natsumi! It's a special party.'

'Your chances went from 100 to 0.' Her inner self laughs at how Natsumi was so gullible.

'Not funny,' Natsumi sharply snaps once she eventually locates a decent seat before she ungraciously plops down on it.

She gave a pout before she rested her head on top of her crossed arms on the table.

The chair's legs scraps against the floor, which produces small vibrations through the tabletop. This signals to Natsumi that someone else finally occupies her at the table.

She peeks up to see a younger girl clad in a midnight blue with numerous violets that floats on top of a lake when she identifies her as her younger sister Hinata.

"What's wrong, onee-chan?" She curiously poses to Natsumi after she closely studies the expression that was presently on her sister's face.

"Otou-san blocked all of the exits! I'm stuck at this party!" Natsumi miserably complains after she lazily straightens up and dully stares Hinata in the face.

"I see, so you're just going to stay here then?" She asks her sister since she predicts that Natsumi would not budge from her current spot.

Natsumi completely ignores the questions since she critically studies the partygoers face before she softly whispers her warning., "Just remember don't get too excited. We don't need you sprouting your cat ears and tail dearest sister."

Hinata simply nods her once she finally notices that Natsumi's sight were back on her when she suddenly speaks up, "Okay. Promise me one thing,"

"What is it?" She curiously poses since she wants to know exactly what it is that Hinata wants her to make a promise to.

"At least one dance." Her sister meekly mentions with a very genuine smile on her face.

Natsumi pushes the chair out from underneath her, stands to her feet and eliminates the space between her and her sister.

"Will you do me the pleasure to accept this dance, ma'am?" She extends her right hand out toward her sister who maintains the same smile she flashes at her from earlier.

"Sure, just like when we were little." Hinata jokes along her sister before she slides her hand within hers and raises to her feet.

Natsumi swiftly guides Hinata toward the ballroom floor in an empty space before they both decide for Natsumi would lead and Hinata would follow.

"My god sis, you have gotten better at dancing." Natsumi teasingly proclaims to her sister, which abruptly causes her to blush at the statement.

"No...I haven't." Hinata slightly stumbles through her sentence when she speaks to her older sister.

"Either way it goes, you will definitely make a wonderful wife when you finally get marry." Natsumi issues yet another compliment to Hinata.

A bright blush materializes on Hinata's face after she listens to Natsumi's compliment towards her.

After the song ends, a man around their age with blond hair and deep cerulean eyes appears next to the duo before he speaks, "Excuse me, but do you mind if I may cut in?"

Natsumi gives him a once over before she deems him safe enough for Hinata before she utters, "Sure, she's all yours,"

She then merely step backwards so the gentleman can easily take her place with Hinata.

Natsumi heads in the direction of her seat until an indescribable sight catches the eighteen-year-old princess eyes...sweets.

She madly dashes to the table that displays an array of dangos, cakes, cookies, brownies, pies, ice cream and other sweets.

After Natsumi carefully stacks a pile of sweets on her plates, she nimbly balances the plate in her hands as she heads back to her seat. As she was about to dig in, she peers up at the window only to notice three familiar children.

She slowly approaches the window right before the kids were about to run away until they watch her mouth something to them, "Go to the back."

Natsumi then points her finger to the direction she wants them to head in. The three of them exchange stares with one another, nods their head in agreement and opts to follow the nice lady's direction.

"You kids should not be back here." The guard sternly warns the trio of kids, who attempt to trespass in to the party.

"They're with me." Natsumi abruptly cuts the guard off before he could say anything else.

The pair simply step from in front of the kids so they could easily pass by them. After she closes the door behind them, she faces the trio to ask them. "What are your names?"

"Konohamaru," A boy with brown spiky hair says while he points his thumb at his chest.

"Moegi," a girl with two high orange pigtails introduces herself with her hands clasp downward to display her shyness.

"Udon," a boy with brown hair with glasses says while he hangs his head down since he finds the floor more interesting.

'Hm for some reason there names sound awfully familiar.' She promptly contemplates to herself, 'Now where have I heard their names from before?'

The odd expression on the children's faces makes her realize that she yet to introduce herself to them.

"It's a pleasure to meet you three, my name is Natsumi Hyuuga." Natsumi politely introduces herself to the band of three.

She suddenly overhears their stomachs growl at the trio, which leads her to ask, "Are you three hungry?"

"How about I fix you three a plate, them?" Natsumi poses to them after they nod their heads in a "yes" manner at her first question.

After she finishes with their individual plates, she guides them to her table and allows to eat in peace.

"So onee-chan what's is it like being a real princess?" The boy with spiky brown hair wonders about her lifestyle.

"It has its own twists and turns." She honestly admits to them while she happily enjoys a red dango.

"That's a very pretty kimono. I wish I had one." the girl name, Moegi, compliments Natsumi's kimono.

"Thank you, but it was my sister's design so you really should thank her." Natsumi accepts Moegi's compliment about her outfit.

"...and I bet she will make you one too." She adds in which captures the little girl's attention.

"Are you serious?" The girl's eyes twinkle with excitement before she tightly encloses Natsumi in a hug, which she happily returns back.

"I am so full!" The one with glass, Udon, claims while he rubs his stomach with one of his hands after he leans back in his chair.

Natsumi smiles at the children's actions when she signals for one of her servants to relay an order on to them. "How about I'll wrap you up some so you can take it with you?"

As she places food inside of three separate bento boxes and wraps it in an unused tablecloth so it is easier for the to carry around with them.

She retraces her steps and leads them out the same way that they enter in earlier since the guests frequently uses the front door.

"Bye onee-chan, see you later!" The trio simultaneously says while they eagerly wave at Natsumi.

She returns the wave along with a small smile present on her face since she throughly appreciates their presence rather than being at the party.

'Cute kids,' Natsumi thinks to herself as she eases back inside of the ballroom. It was at that moment, did she notice her father flags her down.

"I see your sister's dance partner is none other than Uzumaki Naruto, Minato and Kushina's kid." Her father mentions to Natsumi once she travels over to where he was poise.

"You mean the Uzumaki who owns a successful chain of Japanese cuisine restaurants?" Natsumi sharply inquires to her father while she actively tries to locate the pair on the ballroom floor.

"Yes, yes he is. You know...he has a business partner here with him as well." Her father purposely hints toward his daughter.

"Nope...not doing it...not on your life." She quickly counters her father since she knows where he was about to take the conversation.

"You can't remain celibate the rest of your life Natsumi! I need a male heir so I can pass the family name on to." Her father snaps at her after he hears her response.

"You already have two legitimate heiress to chose from and they're both not of age yet." Natsumi fires back when she feels that they were on the verge of yet another argument.

"I know that, but you are also nearing the age of marriage too." Her father mentions to her about her age and the responsibilities that were due to come with it.

"And your point is..." Natsumi questions, which garners a sigh of frustration.

"If you don't meet a man within the allotted time then I will have no other choice but to remove your diplomatic privileges." He challenges her on her position with relationships.

"You sure know how to present a challenge whenever it concerns your future and the family's name." She angrily states to her father.

"I'm serious." He firmly claims with finality in his tone.

"So am I. Here's the deal...I will at least mingle." Natsumi offers as a proposition but what she really wants to say was 'Not on Kami's life,'

"That's my girl." He happily says to her before he eventually disappears in the immense crowd of guests that were currently occupy their ballroom.

'I'm not going to do it at … ouch what did I run into?' She wonders to herself before she peers up to see a hand as a offer to help her up.

"I'm fine." Natsumi assures to the person without so much as a glance at them. She eventually picks herself up and gently dusts the dirt off of her kimono skirt.

"Are you one of the emperor's daughters?" He abruptly inquires while she dusts herself off.

'This dope doesn't even know who I am.' She happily assumes while she inwardly smiles at her luck.

"No I am not." Natsumi easily lies to the individual that stands directly in front of her.

"Then why were you talking to him?" He fires another question towards her.

"Curious one are we now? Well its none of your business, now if you will excuse me." She counters before she was about to past the young man.

"Will you let me go?" She angrily requests since the young man captures her elbow within his grasp.

'Oh how I wish I had my katana, so I could cut him to itty bitty pieces of human flesh.'

"At least let me have this dance?" Natsumi hears the man ask her, which leads her to wonder, 'What's wrong with this person?'

She rotated around to face a man with blue spiky hair that framed a chiseled face with mysterious onyx eyes who was wearing a simple black western suit.

'It's just one dance. Whose it going to hurt?' Natsumi ponders over her decision before she submits to a dance.

"You aren't a bad dancer." He compliments her. 'Force to take ballet at a young age.' she thinks to herself.

"What's your name miss?" she was taken aback after she heard the man in front of her ask for her name.

"Natsumi Hy..." She abruptly catches herself from she ultimately reveals her real identity to the stranger.

"Natsumi Hy," He repeats due to her pause at the start of her last name.

"Higa, Natsumi Higa," She says as she withholds the rest of her last name to the strange man.

"What's your name?" Natsumi asks him just so she could avoid him the next time she sees him.

"Can I have everyone's attention, please." An older lady with too many wrinkles on her face that you could not count hits a gong before she continues her announcement.

"Now we will have the reserved party for the Emperor in the tea room. Please move to the right and if you are not on the attendance then exits are to the front or to the left of the building."

"I'm sorry ma'am but I have to leave you now." he informs her before he vanishes in the enormous crowd of people that shift to the left.

"Natsumi! Come on! Father wants us to go in the tea room now." Hinata tells her after she manages to locate her in the crowd of people.

'Oh just great now we have to entertain old fogies, who only want mistresses because their wives won't let their nasty eels inside of their caves anymore.' Natsumi shudders at the the thought while she trudges alongside Hinata toward the tearoom.

2222

Grey cushions, a purple, a red and a blue cushion surrounds the entire length of a wooden table. The different colored cushion showed where the girls were to take their seat. Hinata gracefully settles in her seat and Natsumi closel follows suit except in a much lazier fashion.

"How I despise entertaining old fogies, neh sister?" Natsumi asks after she faces Hinata.

"Yes. As you always told me that they only want mistresses. I hope father sees that before he gives them any of his blessings." Hinata states after she nods her head in an up and down fashion.

"Meow" was overheard as two cats, one white and one black, struts inside of the tea room. Natsumi scoops up the white one while Hinata picks up the black one.

"So how did the party go, Hinata?" The black cat suddenly and curiously poses toward Hinata.

"It went really well Kuro. I'll tell you all about when we are upstairs." She replies to the black cat's question.

"What about you baka?" the white cat rudely inquires to his owner.

Natsumi simply heaves the cat over her shoulders before she calmly responds to the question, "You better be lucky that I'm in such a good mood. Now go back to your nap, Shiro, its going to be one hell of a night."

Hinata shushes the pair with her finger over lips once she overhears some voices. The cats just lazily amble over toward the cathouse to watch the night that was about to unfold in front of their own eyes.

They listen in when they hear their father comments about their looks. "They are both beautiful."

Natsumi displays a bored expression on her face until her father peeks in the room did her frown shifts to a fake smile.

"They are both here, come on in gentlemen!" Their father cheerfully announces before they watch as the men file in the room. The girls were completely in awe because generally only older men, around their father's age, enters in the room.

"This is one of my two youngest daughters, Hinata." She gives a quick bow, "This is my eldest daughter Natsumi."

When she did not immediately execute a bow, he loudly coughs to capture her attention.

"Poor Otou-san, it sounds as if you have gotten a cold. Please make sure to drink some orange juice." 'Kami-sama don't let me kill her.' He inwardly prayed while Natsumi was satisfied with her work before she complied with her father's request.

"Gentlemen you may take a seat," the men were scrambling to sit next to the girls surprisingly with little to no shoving or pushing.

Hinata was in-between the boy with the blond hair from earlier and a man with red hair and turquoise eyes. Natsumi was in-between a guy with long brown hair and a man with sliver hair and glasses. The others had to settle for what they got.

Maids enter the tearoom with bottles and cups full of sake, which means that the real part begins.

"I would like to toast for my two daughters and may the best man win!" Their father proposes a toast. The two women did not feel offended by it but were rather confused at the same time.

"Each of you will have alone time with my two daughters. When you hear this gong your time is up." their father suddenly announces to the group of men.

Their father instructs them to stand before the maids to show them the way to the rooms.

Natsumi swiftly makes her way over to the cat-house before she gently removes the two cats. Once she catches back up with Hinata and the maid, she gives the darker one to Hinata all while she whispers, "Shout if one of them trues some funny business with you, got it?" Hinata nods her head.

'This doesn't look good,' Her father assumes after he witnesses the duo whispers to one another. Yet, his attention was brought back to the gentlemen that were in front of him.

"Now you can only pick one, so good luck." He says before he dismisses the group as five went to the left while five went to the right.

"Begin," two opens the door…
